  • You use generic value products? you should do a review on them.

  • omg i had that fatty hair straightener hahah bought ti online.

  • I have that pink straightner and its shit :P

  • so HEplFUl THAnk=]

  • I was on the hunt for a good cleaner,I don't know why I didn't check Sally's when I review for them sometimes, duh.Especially if you use hair spray when curling you get this nasty crust buildup, cleaning your tools can make a diff in how well they work, sometimes not cleaning them can cause them to break due to buildup

  • damn. if i had known about this sooner

    i would've had a nice straightener.

the blades had build up so i tried scraping it off [soap and water wouldn't do the job] and i ended up scraping off the coating on the blades.

i LOVE your videos they're helpful and your so gorgeous.

  • you look like Jessica Alba.

  • lol i thought i was the only one who thought soo

  • She does!

  • I should probably clean my flat iron...This video was really helpful.

  • nice, thanks!

  • Great video! Your so pretty!

By any chance do you think you could do a video on what to wear under a vest?

I have some really cute vests and all i can seem to wear under them is a turtle neck long sleeve white shirt. haha, sad but true. it's the only thing i don't feel self conscious in with it! Please help!

  • wow thanks this is really helpful!!!

    thanks girl!!

    love your videos!!

  • i use alcohol wipes to clean my hot tools, is that bad??

  • my friends has the same straightener xP

  • i dont know if you should be spraying it directly on the straightner??? can't it get into the wires or something?? you should probrably just spray it on the paper towel?

but i'm not the expert soo...

    C*

  • Hey,

I have a request could you do a daily routine video and maybe a routine for school too? Thanks a lot and by the way great video.

    Natalie x

  • THANKS!!!!! I'm going to Sallys to buy this! I use hot tool religiously.

But will the fumes come back when you use it after cleaning???? and get on your hair???

  • also if you use baking soda and water, make a paste, leave it on the tool for about 5 minutes then scrub it off. My cosmotologist gave me this tip. Its fine for your tools. just make sure its all rinsed off.

  • yeah i get build up too. I guess from the different products i use. I didn't know where to get a cleaner from so thanks :-)

  • i just use a damp cloth..why pay when you can clean them for free...you should really refrain from spraying your hair with hair spray while you are using any kind of styling tool because not only does it create that nasty build up but it damages your hair like crazy...good vid though =]

  • Hey Dulce, i have the hot pink GHD styler and the actual plates are pink too.. would the product damage the plates? Thanks x

  • thanks for posting this, it'll come in handy :D

  • Hi sweetie!

Ammonia might be the strong smell that you are detecting,& it is very strong and you should only use as you mentioned in well ventilated areas.

  • i have that corioliss straightner :D

    amazing at curling :D

  • After you cleaned it and you use your hot tool again, won't it be smelling like the product? x

  • well you dont really sniff ur hot tool do u?

  • But if the hot tool smells weird, your hair will smell just like that, so that's probably why people have asked.

  • :).. right

reason why i am asking: when you buy something new and you use it for the first time, it smells like plastic and your hair will also have a weird smell. :)

  • it evaporates and you don't smell a thing.

  • thank you!

  • You can also use de greaser the one you can use to clean kitchens and take grease stanes of clothes.

Be careful with spaying it directly on your hot tool because I did it once and it got inside the tool and the I used it and I gave me tiny electric shocks!

  • lol

  • OMG! thank you

  • thanks for the info.

    love u

    liz

  • are you saying "blades" or "plates" lol

you have the cutest accent lol

  • maybe we shoud do it in a well ventialted room. then we'd be okay :) x

  • OMGPMSL U just slay me Girl :D

    You're sooo funny

    ..Wear a mask or somethink

    LOL

No make your husband do it :)

Excellent Point tho' u don't know WHAT could be in those fumes and always a good call to err on the safe side

    Thanx for teh vid

  • "if you'e pregnant, i don't recommend it" LOL that was funny

  • this is so helpfull thank you so much girl =] love the videos!!

  • Wow, i luvvvvv youre hottools that you clean. A purple curlingiron, HALLELUJA, where do you buy that... btw loveee youre vids.

  • My kiyoseki styler actually broke. IT stopped working it won't turn on anymore.

Thank goodness for the WARRANTY I bought I wonder if they will exchange it for a new one.

ALSO...does your kiyoseki leave your hair smelling burnt?? lololol

  • Hey, I also have the kiyoseki hairstyler. It sometimes does leave my hair smeeling burnt but thats only because I leave it in that one spot too long. Try moving it a little faster down the shaft of your hair several times instead of keeping it in one place like most flat irons.

  • then shoiuldnt you wear gloves, because if the fumes are bad, then its probabily bad for your skin

  • Thank you for the video, I use rubbing alcohol mixed with water on a paper towel and wipe tool when its off of course. This is a good alternative though since its made especially for hot tools. :-)

  • i don't even use hot tools at all.... i just straighten my hair every once in a while that's it though.

  • I had no idea that they had stuff that could clean your hot tools safetly! Thanks for this.

  • Cool. I'll have to try this cause my curling iron is really dirty from hair spray and creams and whatever.

  • wow! this sounds like an infomercial... :(

  • wow! works really well

  • :DD ima get that

  • I think she put a fabric of a cheetah print and then put a glass from a table on top of it...= )

    ---MiMi

  • cool =)

    thank you!

  • I've heard that you can also clean them with alchol wipes or just alchol in a cotton swab while the tool is cooling but it's still kind of warm
