I was on the hunt for a good cleaner,I don't know why I didn't check Sally's when I review for them sometimes, duh.Especially if you use hair spray when curling you get this nasty crust buildup, cleaning your tools can make a diff in how well they work, sometimes not cleaning them can cause them to break due to buildup
By any chance do you think you could do a video on what to wear under a vest?
I have some really cute vests and all i can seem to wear under them is a turtle neck long sleeve white shirt. haha, sad but true. it's the only thing i don't feel self conscious in with it! Please help!
i dont know if you should be spraying it directly on the straightner??? can't it get into the wires or something?? you should probrably just spray it on the paper towel?
also if you use baking soda and water, make a paste, leave it on the tool for about 5 minutes then scrub it off. My cosmotologist gave me this tip. Its fine for your tools. just make sure its all rinsed off.
i just use a damp cloth..why pay when you can clean them for free...you should really refrain from spraying your hair with hair spray while you are using any kind of styling tool because not only does it create that nasty build up but it damages your hair like crazy...good vid though =]
reason why i am asking: when you buy something new and you use it for the first time, it smells like plastic and your hair will also have a weird smell. :)
You can also use de greaser the one you can use to clean kitchens and take grease stanes of clothes.
Be careful with spaying it directly on your hot tool because I did it once and it got inside the tool and the I used it and I gave me tiny electric shocks!
Hey, I also have the kiyoseki hairstyler. It sometimes does leave my hair smeeling burnt but thats only because I leave it in that one spot too long. Try moving it a little faster down the shaft of your hair several times instead of keeping it in one place like most flat irons.
Thank you for the video, I use rubbing alcohol mixed with water on a paper towel and wipe tool when its off of course. This is a good alternative though since its made especially for hot tools. :-)
You use generic value products? you should do a review on them.

damn. if i had known about this sooner
i would've had a nice straightener.
the blades had build up so i tried scraping it off [soap and water wouldn't do the job] and i ended up scraping off the coating on the blades.
i LOVE your videos they're helpful and your so gorgeous.

Hi sweetie!
Ammonia might be the strong smell that you are detecting,& it is very strong and you should only use as you mentioned in well ventilated areas.

After you cleaned it and you use your hot tool again, won't it be smelling like the product? x

well you dont really sniff ur hot tool do u?
annamzpink98 2 years ago
But if the hot tool smells weird, your hair will smell just like that, so that's probably why people have asked.
