Didn't they already announce the Lone Ranger film was going to be on hold?
I agree that the Kolchak/Night Stalker film might be better as retro than in a contemporary setting. Part of the fun was Kolchak using flash bulbs, running out of film, etc. Pulling out his iPhone just isn't going to work.
