@Mrphatbastard1 lol hell yeah, I have a 01 tundra pushing 300 horse with 210k and i drive the shit out of it, only things I've had to replace were the rearend and the radiator
I had a 1990 f150 one problem after another replaced thanks to lemon law, then a 1997 f150 burned to the ground due to the faulty cruse control, never received the recall. Enough Mexican trucks for me, can't afford the upkeep and repairs. Currently driving my second Tundra a 2007 with 280.000k on the clock without a problem. My son is still beating up my old 2000 Tundra with almost 400.000 and one new tranny.
That's awesome! Haven't been over 102 in mine yet :-(
Is your truck a RC, DC, or CM? I'm curious if you ever made it back to the track and could get into 12's? I just took my '07 Crewmax to the track last weekend and ran it for the 1st time. Was running stock TRD wheels with ragged trails, and my camper shell, ran 13.80, 13.45, and best run was 13.23 @102. I'm going to try to get back to the track in a month or so without the shell, with cooler weather, and with DR's to see what happens.
@dustinclark83 Go to a toyota dealership and look at the sticker on the side and see where its assembled and 100% of the parts come from. Also check where they spent 10 years designing the truck. I work for toyota so cars.com must be right because you read it on the internet =P
@Motorchevytoyota true ;)....in asia its extremely rare to see a tundra, cause these are made for america so considered this an american toyota.....or japanese american xD
@Motorchevytoyota Ford doesn't provide american jobs? Funny..my 99 F350, 05 F150 AND 11 F150 were all made and assembled in the states...Also, the profits stay home, were as the toy goes to the japs.
@Mrphatbastard1 Did I say that? Nope. Assuming only makes an ass of you and me..ever heard that before? All I am saying is that the profits go to Japan, not USA, so there is no big US economic benefit like the domestic brands.
@ashtrey05 So I guess your really saying our domestic brands are an economic benefit to Mexico and Canada, where their made by Mexicans and Canadians. I'd drive a Japanese truck made entirely in Japan, even if all the profits went to Japan. If you had wasted as much money on domestic junk as I have I'm completely confident you'd feel the same way. I'm not out to support one county or another, I just want the best product for my money which is determined by my experience.
Iv had my share of tacomas through the 80s and 90s and for the most part they were underpowered as hell, real dogs compared to domestics. It was smart of the Japs to look to the USA when opting to build a full size truck, like they looked to Harley Davidson in the 80s towards motorcycles. In the 60s an 70s the Japs used to laugh at a V-twin engine, now look at Shadows, Intruders and Vulkins, and their full sized trucks are more American than our own now, there actually made in the States.
Actually it did come from Toyota like that, they make the 5.7L s/c in the TRD version it's just a option but I imagine it's probably special order, and it has a 6 speed trans with 4.10 gears buddy
@silverdiaz7 Well, seeing as it's supercharged, I'm going to go ahead and say it isn't stock. It may be a TRD blower, but it didn't come like that from Toyota. It was an extra.
@JasonFful Yeah got a 13.2 @ 107mph in 80degree weather and high humidity on street tires. Would love to run it again 40 degree weather with DRs, could break 12s easy.
@MikeCheat04 When you drag your tundra PUT it on traction control and when your waiting for the light to go green, hold the brake and rev up the eninge as much as you can you get soo much more speed and acceleration
@JEDI9786 I was right at 49k when I had it installed so I think you are definitely safe. You're just breaking yours in good. Oh you may wanna have em check the rear end while you have it there btw
Thanks man! We'll I don't know yet but I am taking it to the track this Friday. Hoping to hit some high 12s, that's what others have been running. I've been waiting for this for a long time too lol

@OldsMannn
stock is 122. It is easily removed by toggling into the speed sensor wire. (purple/white)
