He said he was going to retire after he won 3 titles. Getting his 2nd title was so hard, I guess he reconsidered his ambitions. With the field constantly getting harder with new beasts showing up; such as Kyshenko. I think he's smart to quit now; instead of dragging his career on like Kozo Takeda. Kozo was an awesome fighter, but it seems like he got into Muay Thai and K-1 very late. Which would explain why he has been so easily forgotten. Kozo could literally kick your leg off.

I believe that there is a fine line between retiring too soon, and retiring too late. I hope Masato does some exhibition fights now and then, I'll always support the Silver Wolf.
