HI nice truck I'm looking at picking up one of these with a bad 4 cyl could you tell me how much work and $ the v8 conversion runs I'd much rather do that than replace the little motor thanks
Around $5K with everything I did to the Jeep, That includes engine, tranny, adapters, customized wiring harness, Everything in the interior, Upgraded rear axle with brake disc and posi diferential 4.10 I did most of the job but things like wiring harness of the engine I took it to an expert in fuel injection and electronics. you can find cheap jeeps on ebay but besides the engine work you might have to do a paint job and interior. I blew my engine and I'm gonna have it overhauled completely
you can pick up a LT1 for around $600 the adapters frome advance adapters and the computer and compleat harnes about a grand the only problem i have is the optiespark and water shoebox. com has all the part # listed for LT1s a better choise is the 6.0 truck moter it converts to a ls1 and a junk yard has them for $1200 the adapters and computer is about the same
