I think with Wade, he's wondering why Charlie and his gang who are scums of the earth deserve to live while Bale is an honest rancher with integrity and gets to die. Wade knows he'll get his up and coming next time. He wasn't really a hero but wanted to balance evil and good somewhat in his twisted way.

all i have to say is, look at when foster grabs the coat and pops his hat out, u will notice his eyes angry and down, within the heartbeat of hat crossing his face and putting it back on, his eyes look innocent, now that is talent, ben foster is the future of acting, in my opinion of course, so is the likes of shia, another thing i must say is Rest in paradise heath ledger, woulda been nice to see ur future along with river phoenix.

I dont get why people are angry at Crowe, he did a great job with Ben Wade. I thought it was his best preformance since Gladiator. And Charie was a great character too, but the movie would have sucked if Charlie and the rest of the gang lived... they just didnt deserve to live no matter how cool they were.

Ben Foster pulled a Val Kilmer from Tombstone Val comes in with Kurt Russell and Sam Elliot but steals the show with "Doc" Holiday character I couldnt beleive it when I found out Ben Foster was in X-men III as the angel boy! "This towns gonna burn!"

Agreed, Ben really captured the ruthlessness that was ever-present in the Wild West. He definitely was a commanding presence in the movie, in my opinion, moreso than Crowe or Bale.

In essence: he stole the show.

Ye! What a great job Ben Foster did here. Playing a very trustworthy semi psycho, he makes this movie watchable more than one time. In my opinion, Bale and his character ruins the movie, you really don't feel any sympathy with him at all, you kinda just irritate yourself over him for his stickiness and stupidity, sad. For the Crowe/Wade part, he ruins it when he kills the crew, made me very dissapointed to see such loyalty being paid in such a way.Good example of movie where you cheer forthe bad
