este tema es muy bueno lo busque por mucho tiempo ya que no sabia quien lo cantaba ni como se llamaba el tema pero gracias a lisa simson lo localise y ahora le busco su traduccion
Dear Mr. Rafferty, I'm trying my best to get the first part of this right and can't do it. I got my sax back out of it's case just to do this. My mission is to youtube my attempt and hope people don't laugh and point at me. Can you give me a little tip? your's, Garry the lips.
you just fade away as soon as you hear the start of that sax. Think its only one of a few pieces where I just listen to it in admiration at my love for music <3
It finished as it started, with a check on time and money. One might wonder which will run out first. Gerry might have thought at the time it was all about the money, but in retrospect for him it was "time."
@Theirshfrlrocks omg, same thing here! i first heard this song from lisa simpson cuz my dad for some reason doesn't like this song but i love it. its like made of epicness!
I thought the lyrics were powerful, they resonated with me and the sax just topped it off. If you have ever been new to a big City and your alone, looking for work.....well, I think if you really listen you might understand.
i like red and black checkered shirts .....and saxaphones look like some exotic fruit from a lonely secluded palm tree somewhere between brazil and hawaii that you can play thern eat and become the nerd who sings this song

Lol, exactly the same here. The most classic part of that little featurette is that the Pheonix centre where the sax player is now recording is in my home city of Exeter! Epicness. Great tune.
Heard this song today on the radio and, boy, did it just bring back so many sweet memories! The voice, the lyrics, the melody, that killer sax! I had to look it up so I could hear more!
I adore GR songs and the band! Nothing else, then or now, even comes close! There's something beyond-special about a singer/songwriter/musician who strikes a unique, distinct sound! From the first note, you know: Gerry Rafferty!!
thumbs up if you only came here for sax solo

Singing in this song is sublime, don't care about what other people say. Without the singing parts the solo wouldn't have half the impact it does..

That sax is so sexual, i bet he got a big and powerful mustache that he likes to tickle people with, and he takes a daily bath in smooth chocolate.

A TRIBUTE TO Gerry Rafferty!!!
He kept at true good humour's mark
The social flow of pleasure's tide:
He never made a brow look dark,
Nor caused a tear, but when he died.
