I have only had my license for 5 months & everything in this song has already happened to me! Thanks for this girls, at least now I know I'm not the only one that goes through this, I"M NOT ALONE ;) good job Merry Christmas I loved it!
Too much truth to this video. Wishy-washy unreliable buyers and clients that call you at 6 pm on a Sunday wanting to talk business for 3 hours are extremely frustrating to say the least.
I loved this... makes me glad I'm not a realtor. But I do know a few and it seems that they work 7 days a week most of the time. My hats off to Carol and Sue.... great job!
Too funny,THANKS!LOVE this business,w so fast moving and fluid,we run down the road at warp, untangling titles, acquiring water rights, negotiating easements, keeping the peace and all thats required in addition to making the sale, contract writing and deal guiding, and if we are really good we make it look easy with a smile.Over 20 years in the bus,I work with the best of the best. My Dad always said, never, ever ever let the ignorant B------- drag you down!Dad was a smart man.
This is HILARIOUS!! My realtor friend sent me this...as I thought about becomming a realtor several times...but my realtor friends keep talking me out of it...its a tough business.
Realtors work hard and earn every penny and deserve alot more consideration and respect than they usually get.
This skit would be alot funnier if it wasnt so true...Realtors work hard for thier money.
After decades in the business I so appreciate you two. You girls know the business and I think you are delightful!!! I agree customers and clients should see this.
Amen from a fellow realtor in Virginia, this is absolutly wonderful and absolutly the truth. What other profession grants us a license to sell and everyone else gets a license to, and don't pardon my French, SHIT on us! As for anyname666, buddy I have a nice secluded place waaaaaaaaaaay out in the country you'll just love!
This is so funny. As for anyname666 I woudl welcome her/him to come and work in my shoes for 1 day. I work 9-9 most nights and thats 12 months of the year. When I do get vacation I still pick up calls. Any one who slams a realtor has no clue what it is like.
This was my nightmare that lasted until l/1/09. Retirement will finally arrive -hang in there. When it's over it's the final revenge to say to the hardtailed buyers/sellers who call and you get to reply, "I'm not an active Realtor anymore." Na na na na.
verrrrrry fun and oh, so true! you ladies are great!! keep up the good work! i am licensed, but am a client care manager to a multi-million dollar producing couple in albuquerque and we of course have had all of that happen! (and more) anyway, we also are still here....
Wonderful!! I personally, think this is great, creative, funny and true. Any realtor who disagrees with this must not really have any business. Great job, maybe we should pass this along to all our clients who think we have an easy job making high paying "salaries" and "just showing houses" haha LOL
Some one in these comments said they worked 4 months FULL TIME on a deal that went south because the bank would not co-operate. Hummm!! Havent they heard that the banks almost went under from loose lending on SFDs?? I can just see that person now--- up at 5am out the door at 7:30am On the job by 8am. Papers flying until the noon power lunch. Back in the office by 12:45 work work work until 5pm. Just working all day long for 120 days to get this one deal done. WHAT A LOAD
I have worked in Real Estate for nearly 10 years now (not as a REALTOR, though) and they do work really hard on most deals. A lot of people think they just swoop in and make a ton of cash off selling houses, but the amount of time they put in is much more than most people know. Some Realtors have the "shorter" hours as you claim, but they are not usually the successful ones. The Realtors that actually MAKE money work long and hard, often staying late into the night to get the job done!
Anyname-With these comments, you have no idea how hard it is to work as a Realtor. Maintaining a standard of ethics in a world where many do not, there are those of us out there who are swimming upstream against a tumultuous current. And the mortgage rules are changing everyday, so it is much harder to close a deal than it is to get a contract written. The banks are much too strict these days. The people who deserve a mortgage now are suffering because the banks were too lax a few years ago.
See in the real world Full Time means 8 to 5. In the world of a Real Estate agent. Full time means 11 to 1 with an hour off for lunch and a coffee break.
People do not seem to understand all the time and effort we (Realtors) put in for one deal. And then it falls apart the day before closing. It is TOUGH out there and I commend these ladies and all my fellow ethical Realtors out there working to put food on the table for their families. So, Anyname with the devil's numbers after it, you reflect the numbers well.
Hey anyname666 (as in the sign of the devil)...the beauty is, you don't have to use us (and believe me, that's good news for ALL agents), just as we don't have to use you, in whatever business you're in. Sell your own house. Deal directly with owners and buyers. You obviously are closed-minded about this. Why these other agents even BOTHER to try to answer you is a mystery. See ya later. Don't let the screen door hit you in the ass.
Amazing how those on the loosing side always resort to profanity to bolster their case. The fact is that the housewives and highschool drop outs who find it so easy to become an agent after a 6 week adult night school course are ruining it for the rest of the professional Agents. It is these wana bees keep the pros from really servicing the public, and then gum it up. AND then to top it off.--- if it is not handed to them on a silver platter they whine and blubber. Waaa Waa Wa
LOL LOL....this guy 666, goes ALL OVER YOUTUBE and insults and baits people ALL THE TIME! He then tries to get these people he insults to email back and forth to "argue" with him. He is a total whack job. Dude, take your anti-psycotics and go night-night.

I have to admit I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. You've hit the nail on the head with this song. At one time or another we've all had the same thoughts about this crazy business. Sometimes I wish people could spend 24 hours in our shoes to see what we go through.
How true!!! Good luck to all those that are trying to stick it out. I did very well in a down market over the past 1.5 years, but what we have seen over the past 3-4 months is scary! I had a deal that should of been absolutely incredible for the ban, but they did everything possible to not make it happen. So instead of making $26k, I worked full time for free for 4 months!! For everyone that thinks we hit bottom, just wait!!! I loved this job, but I would be wasting my time trying to make it!
Floridabroker is right on. If you can juggle the details involved with being a successful full time realtor longer than 18 months, you passed the test. It's not for everyone. The one's that have stayed in, their the professionals. And if you passed the test, this video is right on the money. Hilarious girls. I've shared it with my realtor friends, Facebook, & Active Rain pages. Thanks for taking the time to share our feelings to the others who DON'T GET IT because, they have no clue.
And Bradmy is RIGHT ON—How do you steal a listing from another agent before the seller signs with someone else—hummmm Why jut fill their head with BS that the house is worth way more than it will appraise for. Oooops I cant understand why the appraisal didnt come in I guess we have to lower the price. OR hey it has been 4 weeks and there is no activity on your house I guess we have to lower the price

If you guys (mostly gals) think that realty is a tough job where do you put garbage collecting cuz you guys sure sling a lot of it.
Stacygulick is right Chin up—it is too hard to sell a house now—you actually have to get out there and do some work rather than just sitting at your computer playing solitaire waiting for the phone to ring when its your turn to pick up.. Ahhhh the days of the easy commission are gone for a while—back to being a homemaker for a while.
If you don't like the business, please leave now. :) You can avoid all the verses in this song by only working with educated buyers and sellers. If you don't take an overpriced listing then you wont have to worry about it not appraising out. I have been having a great year, I hope more agents leave the business.
I'm going to make a guess that in reality you don't do very many real estate transactions and you live in your parents basement..so making $7k a year allows you to enjoy your life of playing video games and renting movies! In todays markets banks dont care if its price at a fair market value.....they want to take that number and a drop it at least 25%....good luck with all those educated buyers and sellers!!!! I had plenty of those and they are worth NOTHING in todays market...good luck rookie!
I have a good friend who use to be a teacher an is now a realtor. Don't know how she does it.
I do know that with the current market a lot of realtor and mortgage brokers have been coming into my line of work, at least till the market recovers.
The person making the comment "easiest job in the world" is either an unemployed teenager or a government employee. In either case, "They know not that which they speak".

anyname try to get a job as a realtor and try to talk to 6-10 clients at once. Also i got the dog out cat in 1 very easy because its hapend to me more then once.
1st of all im from daugnault realty in florida and this clip is hilarious! I played it over the speaker in my office to my boss and she gave me a day off! Good clip! =)
It this wasnt the easiest job in the world for the most lucrative amount of money then the field would not be a glut with every housewife and High School drop out in the county.
How about this: They came in to list with me And I told them dont you see I dont want to work off my lard You need to set your price under market So I dont have to work hard. We have back up offers galore So you better sign now and offer more And you dont have to worry about this And you dont have to worry about that The Home Warranty will take care of that.
I'm jealous! You have Buyers and Sellers?? Great Job! Buyers and Sellers in this Market I heard move the Mother In-Law UP 2 notches!! Is that TRUE? At lest Buyers and Sellers complain behind your back or to the RE Commission. With Mother In-Laws, you have to keep reminding them..."I CAN HEAR YOU"! Gotta go, need some Wine and Chocolate!! Wouldn't it be nice IF our homes had 59k Views. LOL
Thanks for the best laugh in a long time...forwarding to the rest of my office. Only other REALTORS can appreciate and understand this is really the way our lives are. May you have a Merry Christmas and may we all have a prosperous 2009.
Adorable! - delightful - you both rock! May you have THE most prosperous, easy 2009 you can imagine. Janice Roosevelt, Keller Williams - Kennett Square PA
This is really cute. I AM a REALTOR and I've been through most of this. These ladies are sweet. Thanks for the laughs. I posted it on my Facebook site.
IF you're not a realtor you really have NO CLUE how incredibly true this is. It made my day!!! You two girls rock!!! I'm forwarding this on to my entire board of realtors for Christmas! :)
I loved it. Got my husband to watch and it was fun to see him get a chuckle out of it. He's seen it all second hand, and he called you Internet Stars. Funny and Fun!
Oh My Goodness, I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants...just what I needed after a day like mine. Perspective is a wonderful thing...Thank You! REALTOR in Hawaii
We're happy to know that other realtors are experiencing the same frustrations that we do. Merry Christmas from CENTURY 21 agents in the Texas Hill Country...
Great job and so, so true. Merry Christmas to you and may you have a great 2009. At least you have another job when the real estate is slow. Take sign ups for going to other offices to sing. Thanks
Perhaps you could post a video response to my video "My favorite Christmas Carol. What's yours?" here in Youtube. We're collecting people's favorite carols from all over the world to celebrate this Christmas time with everyone!
well here it is another year gone by.
I have bought 2 houses this year
1 for $26,500 (1,400sf 3bed 2 bath) & another for $35,000 950 sf. 2 bed 1 bath.
the realtor did almost no work at all. but they made $500 & $700 for not doing very much.
In fact I get more service at a restaurant than I got from the realtors. He was too busy to open the house & sent his secretary.
If u guys would actually get to work & show the houses u might make some money.
But now sitting at home I bet the last 3 years

I commented a 2 years ago about what a crock this video is.
Made by housewives who don't know the difference.
I just tried to make a bid on a $30,000 house
the realtor was rude & almost no contact
his excuse was WHAT DID I EXPECT for only 1 1/2% of $30,000
$450 is not enough for him to bother with me.
the Jerk knows that I am an investor & may just by another 4 or 5 in his area.
What do you two idiot girls think know that the market is at the bottom.
I bet you are back in the kitchen.

chill out buddy. If you can't relax and get a chuckle out of this video, maybe YOU need to leave the business.

IT'S A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mettskids 3 years ago

Chin up everyone. It can't last forever...right?

Hello from Charles Rutenberg Realty in Clearwater, Florida! The funniest part of this video...is that it is ALL TRUE!!!

The person making the comment "easiest job in the world" is either an unemployed teenager or a government employee. In either case, "They know not that which they speak".
floridabroker 3 years ago 3
Floridabroker is right on. If you can juggle the details involved with being a successful full time realtor longer than 18 months, you passed the test. It's not for everyone. The one's that have stayed in, their the professionals. And if you passed the test, this video is right on the money. Hilarious girls. I've shared it with my realtor friends, Facebook, & Active Rain pages. Thanks for taking the time to share our feelings to the others who DON'T GET IT because, they have no clue.

It this wasnt the easiest job in the world for the most lucrative amount of money then the field would not be a glut with every housewife and High School drop out in the county.

LOL
