Those sandals remind me of a story my friend Billy told me of how back in the 80s, back in China, his mom used to make those cloth maryjanes from scratch...sole and all. She made the soles from scrap fabric and put flour between the layers. Wouldnt that be neat to make shoes from scratch>

A leather punch can help make the hole cleaner. This gives me an idea for a thicker base for the Hauraches designs - use the 4 layer yoga mat then tie lacing as per hauraches. In a different video, there is also the idea of covering the base in fabric such as denim to make it more, well, stylish

I just made a pair out of a foam yoga mat one of my co-workers didn't have a use for anymore but I thought "Why ever would they want the textured grip side on the top? If anything I should put that on the floor so I don't slide around and save the glue!" ._. now I know why you wanted it for your feet xD luckily I had enough from that one yoga mat for two pairs and I can always add the grip for my feet :3

Those sandals remind me of a story my friend Billy told me of how back in the 80s, back in China, his mom used to make those cloth maryjanes from scratch...sole and all. She made the soles from scrap fabric and put flour between the layers. Wouldnt that be neat to make shoes from scratch>

I really liked the flip flop idea!! Unfortunatly, I don't have an extra yoga mat. So if i cut mine up, I'll have to but a new one. I guess I can always but one from the thrift store or something. I really like it. And it got me thinking, if you have more than one color, you could layer them for a more festive look!! [excited!!]
