You're right - science hasn't proved the he doesn't exist, and I don't think that will ever happen, 'cause never the less he will exist in some peoples heads, because they wont accept the proofs that may be found in the future that proves them wrong.

But it's way more ridiculous to believe in that he DOES exist, than believing in what science can tell, because NOTHING apart from an ancient 2,000-year-old book has told us, that he exists. Anyhow, so many keep on believing in so old "proofs".

Well, because, logically, if there is no proof in the negative that is reason to believe the positive. Also, I think you're neglecting to consider all of the emotional and spiritual benefits that people derive from believing in something bigger than oneself and bigger than we can yet comprehend.
