I don't get it... Doing SALSA moves, but how come such a music??? My God! It seems that for them it is the same doing these moves to metal rock, or Beethoven or R'N'B... Absolutely senseless!

Nice move, working moves, really can be lead even to a non-experienced lady.

This is nice thing, but it is a crime to ask money for theaching this...

This is not Salsa. It is CEROC. It is only danced in UK Australia and New Zealand.

It is unrehearsed and not choreographed. With one leader and one follower. All my 100+youtubes are Ceroc dancing except for one lindy-hop clip. Any music is OK to dance to. Perhaps" Non Ballroom Discofox" is the nearest thing to this dance in Hungary ???? ? is there an informal discofox ?

Ceroc is the same word as "MODERN jive"

Of course, I know this is not salsa, because i dance salsa since 7 years :) Actually I ran across "discofox" term once when i searched latin staff few years ago. It was german "product" and I had the same feelings about it.

You seem to be a big fan, and probably beginner. I don't want to hurt your feelings, but doing any moves to any music is nonsense.

I am sure: The basic idea of such schools is to make money. I think as the beginner improves, he realises what he was paying for :)

Let me guess: you used to have your own ceroc parties where you can only dance with those people from your class... Means just to celebrate your great master. Again, I am not angry, hateful guy, I just saw too many of pseudo teachers :)

But each moment there are beginners who want to social dance and to hang around. One worry: you never can dance well at the end.

I also scorn those ballroom dance teachers who swich to teaching salsa because it gives good money. They know nothing about real salsa and the result is: they spoil it, get their money and you are miserable dancer. Dancing is for fun, of course, I dont mean professional dancing.

Jive... I learned jive. This has NOTHING 2 do with jive. What I see is like I wrote in my 1st comment. Anyway, i learnt about another thing thank 2 u :)

This is modern jive - fast to learn and in time use the skills creatively as here - and wow. Dancing so entertainingly to any music in the name of fun strikes me as more fulfilling than chasing some pure form as in the strangely-motivated comments by k4.

I am 60 and was the oldest person by far at the Ealing event shown above. Modern Jive ( Ceroc ) tends to be have a very young following in Central London. JivenNation is Central London Based (... office workers going out after work ) London Suburban Ceroc, usually has many older dancers.
