  • Nice

  • nice sand rail! must be so cool driving that

  • i love pinto powered buggys! i changed mine over and the torque is much better than a vw motor. you have one sweet ride man!

  • nice! how much dose something like this cost? i really want to get into this!

  • @Tweekin0ut Between $3000 and $5000, and one with a fancy hi-tech motor can cost between $10,000 and $30,000.

  • looks good here, but lets see it in the sand,

  • Awesome man! You know you have a cool machine on your hands when somebody says 0:34 LOL!

  • @pdutube I know:)

  • i want borderlands please

  • borderlands rule

  • better than mine cuz i dun hav 1!! :-(

  • ya you cant beat that little pinto motor for the price there around the same as a nice vw with way more tq and hp vw suck

  • oh that really sucks becasue we dont even live ear each other whatever kk peace

  • how much u selling it for? what type of engine?

  • It has a 4 cylinder Pinto motor and it can blow away anything with a VW motor no problem. We're asking around 4k for it.

  • 4000$ for it kk well do u live in USA because i live in canada!!! so reply plzz

  • We live in a distant suburb of Portland Oregon.

  • hey i live in portland to lol

  • Cool☺

  • @BeanMeister22 ... blow away anything with a VW motor? HAHAHAHAHA

see 'street legal sand rail hot rod fun' on YouTube

  • @tazztt1 Come on...you know a bulit water pumper like this will smoke any VW Bug motor out there.

  • @BeanMeister22 ... don't get me wrong dude, I love your rail (and water pumps), but it's a pretty bold claim seeing that I have a video RIPPING pavement, and yours is a mere display

let's see that thing in action!

  • @BeanMeister22 you have no idea what one of thoes can do if you think that. i regularly blow v-8s outta the water with 2275cc alcohol injected rail. car is 1200lbs with driver and puts out just over 300hp

  • @richardshaver99 Yes, but if you put the same mods on a water pumper, you would blow that air cooled motor away. No matter how much you pump up a VW motor, it cannot compeat with an equally modified water cooled motor. This Pinto motor stomped on a rail with a stock 327 in it.

  • I think my saturn could blow that out of the water. Or maybe the sand!!

  • Contest Entry Hail Mary Grouping 92

I imagine you had a lot of fun in that contraption. really nice.

  • Contest Entry Hail Mary Grouping 91

Wow That is loud. Must be fun.

  • I raced car till the money got me (The wife spent it all) It will be 10 years on 10 Dec 2008

But I have a new car in the makeing. Its a Datsun 200B with a 351 windsor and a C6. Things are a bit hard to fit.

  • Nah, the real reason it must be sold, is that we never use it, and I don't make the kind of money that I used to, at least not for another couple of years. So basically, I'm poor, broke, and I spend all my money on new computers and video equipment:)

  • what sort of gas milage do sand snails get?

  • I have no idea...but the gas tank is not that big, so it can't be too horroble...

  • thats cool but i cant even afford an rc spider let alone a dune buggy.

though my son wants me to buy it (the db) :)

    xoexo

  • Just think, you could be cruising up and down the beach with it at 60 MPH, throwing up a rooster tail of sand 50 feet behind you...at least that is what I was going to do with it... Oh well, maybe the next owner will have the time to take it out and play with it.

  • Wow that looks like fun.

In my teens I had a dune buggy made from a vwbug. It was so much fun.

Boy does that bring back some fun memories.

  • Thanks, I thought you guys would enjoy seeing it.

A year ago we traded a big jacked-up K5 Blazer for it. We had high hopes of taking it out to the dunes in Florence, Oregon, or even just to Sand Lake near Tillamook, Oregon. But alas, we never did take it out...except for one time out in the field when it was snowing. It certainly is cool, but it's one of those things we never have the time to use.

  • A good friend of mine years ago, used to have one of those cool fiberglass dune buggies with a 6 cylinder Corvair engine in it. He had the documentation to prove that it was once owned by Steve McQueen. This same friend also had a Baja Bug with another Corvair engine in it, and he never had the time to take either of them out in the dunes:(

  • That is awesome.Man; you have one heck of a sand machine right there. I bet that's going to go for a pretty penny. I wish I could purchase that. Though we have no ware to get to drive it. I would have to take it out on the road.lol.The engine sounds sweet. Looks like its in perfect condition. I am in aw.Have a great day and on your next commercial spin the wheels and throw some dirt.Awesome.God bless you and your family.

  • Thanks, we never have the time to use it, so we might as well sell it. It has a Ford Pinto motor in it, that will put to shame any VW Bug motor it comes up against. I had planned to take it down to the dunes and make some cool YouTube videos, but who has the time for that...not me, that's for sure:(
