How similar is the design to the actual 7.62x39 AK-47? I'd imagine it is possibly lighter and maybe smaller too.

@TheDesert92 I don't know about easier, but definitely cheaper. Elsewhere, a full auto AK-47 is $50 (or even less). Seriously, the AK-47 is about five times more common than the $90 Mosin-Nagant.

It's ridiculous. AK-47s (guns in general) really don't cost much to make; that $100 smartphone at the AT&T store probably requires many times more engineers than a $3,000 submac. But that $100 smartphone don't have endless regulations that varies greatly from state to state causing prices to skyrocket.
