It all begins with the huge corporations and countries with no conservation or pollution laws. We can do all we want as individuals to clean up the earth, but the result of all efforts by one million individuals can be wiped out or dwarfed by the carelessness of ONE company in ONE day. Not to be a pessimist, but boycotting companies that do not operate "greenly" is the best approach in my opinion. Problem is, too many people are careless when it comes to our earth and environment.
The government can stop this if he wanted 2 but they dont care they want us all to die cause they say the earth is over crowded. He can make everyone stop driving cars, and make the factories shut down so the world can stop getting polluted, but he does'nt care. its 2012 people lets CHANGE or we all are doomed.
@SentOnFriday Why did life create us though? If earth didn't want it's self destroyed then i wouldn't of created humans. of course that is the same extreme analogy that everyone else gives. but to solve and reduce emissions. The only way to can is through the free competitive enterprise system.
@tehatemachine It was a fluke, it was not something that "life" was planning on. Your getting religious on me now ;) I am all for free market, but we can not create one as long as we use global instruments like the WTO to keep some economies in check while subsidizing others. Greed, which is inherently human, mixed with capitalism, is what got us into this mess and no matter how you spin it, it will never get us out!

Government intervention in the free market ALWAYS leads to disastrous effects. It's the main reason why oil is so expensive and the reason why we still use oil.
@SentOnFriday "Greed, which is inherently human, mixed with capitalism, is what got us into this mess and no matter how you spin it," Competitive free market capitalism is the only system in EXISTENCE that has taken greed and put it to good use and create everything around you that unfortunately. Most of us take for granted and EASILY forget what life could be like without many of the standards we have not. Standards NOT set by government but by everyone enacting upon self interst
This is what Adam Smith said more than 200 years ago. Yet it is a shame that many do not know who he is “It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we can expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest”
@madking2012 you cannot act by force. And you don't really need to do anything. As industry advances it does by default become much cleaner and efficient. Efficiency is desired because it involves minimal waste and maximum output per profit. The ONLY real solution i see to cutting down on "pollution" is with the lightest element in the chart. Hydrogen. However the only problem with getting hydrogen is that it's cheaper to get it through oil and splitting it via water is most costly.
@madking2012 Because in electrolysis You are basically putting more energy into it than you are getting out. But STILL if you look at almost every modern car. They pollute very little, You need to read how they have advanced engine designed so far ahead from what it used to be. It's an art form on cutting down emission and maximizing MPG. Now clearances in modern engines are much tighter to reduce friction and maximize output. Direct injection is now the popular type of fuel system.
@madking2012 You'll also notice that the filthiest cities in the world are the most impoverished and have restrictions on free trade. The ones that do not are usually clean.
Tokyo is a great example. Many U.S cities have gotten dirty because of government stepping in alot and acquiring a large portion of property. The park in new york is a great example.
Nobody takes better care of someone else's property better than they take care of their own.
@madking2012 in japan mostly EVERYTHING is privatized. That's why there are so many clean structures standing out that are well maintained. That is also why they have so much high tech industry.
Great video, thank you very much

i hate how much we are destroying the earth we need to act now but nobody will until the last moment like if your prepared to change
madking2012 3 months ago 4
@madking2012 We are not destroying the planet. The planet will be destroyed by the sun in about 2 billion years. So what does it matter?

@tehatemachine Same reason you dont jump in front of a train just because you are going to die some day.

@tehatemachine Cause it matters because its actually about 6 billion years until the sun kills us so we need 2 act now
