Actually it is only scientifically proven to impair shot term memory. Long term memory doesnt come from brain cells it comes from synapses that are stored in brain cells. It is also said that it affects the short term memory in the short term no lingering side affects after you stop consumption.

Yes it causes you to more frequently dump your short term memory while under the influence and it can cause you to gain a few pounds but it doesnt affect the brain in the negative. I didn’t ignore the mental health studies or the studies in memory they just don’t support what you’re saying. The real question is have you seen the studies or just heard manipulated facts, any studies I have seen support what I have been saying in every comment this whole time. The studies about memory reflect only that it affects short term in the short term. Meaning it only affects the short term memory while intoxicated and no lasting side affects after it has cleared the blood stream.

Getting depression might apply to a minority subset but that side effect cannot be applied to the vast majority of users. So yes, it was wrong of me to call you a liar because you may have experienced awful side effects but to insist that everyone will experience these side effects is misinformed.
