  • I used to got there all the time as a kid. I was telling my wife about it, and your pics really helped convey how amazing that place is. Thanks!

  • Thank you for posting these magnificently bleak images. You can FEEL the thick psychic energies coating the ruins of this temple of human aspiration. Ever been to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV? Well worth your time if you are into "that sort of thing."

  • @MrMickeybitzko I've been to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV twice, still have some pics saved on my computer. It's about 70 miles from where I live. I remember when it was open, I remember a murder happened in there. The local newspaper said a patient said "there's ghosts in there killing people". The patient was the murderer.

  • can you tell me the exact location of this place?? p/s great video and pictures

  • Did they demo this site, yet?

  • @Bllackguard666 No not to my knowledge.

  • Does anyone know where i can get this music?? or the artist?

  • @mullerma76 It is Moby - Isolate (Ambient mix). Buy "Isolate (Ambient Mix)" on: iTunes, eMusic, AmazonMP3

  • Hauntingly beautiful music...goes great with all the eerie photos. Where can I look online to get a copy? If you could send me the artist name or album name I would greatly appreciate it!

  • Great photos. This is a very interesting place and hope I can go explore it at one point. I lived in dansville as a kid but I was to young. My grandma worked there and tells me storys all the time. Well done

  • Wow, this is very well done, so sharp and nice audio as well. It seems that no one has been doing any work on saving this place.

All is very quite on the hillside in Dansville, although there is a lot of interest in the what many call the "Castle On The Hill". It seems that a large sum of money cannot be awarded until they have signed leases to the tune of 75% use of the buildings, That would be a hard sell as it would take many years of work to put this building back in use.

  • Your photography in the Sanatorium is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
