I'm chinese, I don't hate Japanese very much, and I have to admit that China still has a long way to catch up with Japan, this is fact, chinese people all know that. At last, I want to say, Japanese all are very polite, I really don't want to hate Japanese people if Japanese never invaded China in WWII. The only difference between the US and Tokyo that I know of when I was there, is that Tokyo's overall infrastructure is FAR more advanced than the US. That and their technology. Another way to put it, they're about 5 years ahead us in terms of technology.

No, their crime rate is not as high as opposed to the US. But recently it has risen within the last 20 years. Overall, Tokyo is one of the safest cities in the world.

You can walk around in a very secluded area of the city at 2am in the morning and no one will bother you. Now if you're a woman on the other hand, the only thing you have to watch out for are the "Chikans" (perverts). They are plenty of them who try to physically harass the women there. But they only harass the locals.

There is plenty of humor in Japan. In fact, just type in Japanese humor on youtube and you will come up tons of videos. Me, I think its way more hilarious than our humor.

I can answer that question for you. I've been to Tokyo many times because I used to be stationed with the US 7th Fleet based at US Fleet Activities Naval Base in Yokosuka Japan.

Tokyo is very much a cosmopolitan city and there are lots and lots of foreigners all over Tokyo. White, Black, you name it.

It is true that in the video you only spotted 4 of them in 8 minutes, but it generally all depends on the location you're in, especially the time of the season that you're there.

In Vancouver, Canada, we do not wear clothing like that - ours are informal, yet semi-formal at the same time, and we have a lot of business people and diversity. I want to go to Japan, too!
