I just started reading the book last night, and so far, I'm really loving it. It is funny, touching, and thoughtful. Can't wait to get back at it tonight.
I met Tom and Atticus 2 days ago at a Public Library where Tom told his story and read from his book. He is a great storyteller, and it was evident that both he and Atticus are special. The book is written with a style not expected, and with deep insight and talent. It is a story of a great bond, a great friendship and the triumph of human nature and nature. Light over darkness - congrats on a such a wonderful story. Highly recommended.
Went to the reading last night and met these two. Tom is a wonderful story teller and from what I have read so far the book flows incredibly well, funny and touching. If you really sit and think about what it would take to do what they did with the hiking it doesn't seem possible. A great friendship.
We are thoroughly enjoying our little schnauzer, Molly. She is going to be six, my husband got her for me after my dad passed and I spent a long time mourning his loss...she has brought so much love into our home, is a social butterfly, sharing herself with everyone who stops to visit. She won't take "no" for an answer when wanting to give welcomes and kisses to all. I have ordered this book - am an avid reader also - and can understand the unconditional love these little dogs give.
I've had three schnauzer's and they are such wonderful dogs, I most surely will have to read this book. My latest little schnauzer had to be put to sleep last Sept. because of Cancer, I miss him every second of every day and although I didn't get to have the adventures that these two are sharing. Chappy made everyday an adventure of pure love and enjoyment for me. Thank you...tokidee
