how could "rounders" not to be the number one movie of poker? After watching rounders, my games totally change as I start making money from it (not alot but many fundamental theories were shown as I already know them) Many many quotes that poker player are repeating it, such as " if you cannot spot a sucker on the table within half an hour, you are one...." It's an all time movie that rocks both players and non-players world, Casino Royale is nowhere near that
@cantronic Casino Royale, while definitely not strictly a poker movie, also strangely doesn't felt like a James Bond movie as well. It contains so much poker scenes that the whole scenes after the cash game felt like an epilogue after the climax.
Casino Royale provide a more intense spectacle of poker and something that even a complete amateurs can understand, even though a lot of the hand doesn't made sense. Rounders is great but still niche only for poker players.
i haven't seen all of these movies; but i did buy 'rounders' after i became hooked on texas 'hold em; because i kept hearing how influencial it was, but, really i think it was a GOOD movie, but quite a bit overated, i.m.o.
Half of those movies aren't even about poker !!! like Croupier and Casino !!!
