I seen these guys for the first time in 85 at Newcastle City Hall. Earlier the same year in June, I seen Bruce Springsteen at St James's Park, home of Newcastle United. Springsteen was great in that big stadium, but by god, The Alarm were by far better live. I don't think their studio albums done them justice but they were something else live.

You know I was lucky to see some great bands, mainly in Liverpool over the years. Forget the pretentious Echo, even the La's, even Macca at the Cavern! The Alarm outplayed, out performed everyone, performance after performance. The best band of the 80's and 90;s.

I saw them open for Pat Benetar of all people in about 1994 and they were amazing. Very under rated band who made great music. My oh my do we need more bands like this today

Come on guys, get back together! No one has the passion The Alarm had, and from this performance, still does. There is alot stuff available for my 11 yr. old to put on his mp3 and guess what, there are quite a few Alarm songs.

I'd love to see this line-up of the Alarm get back together again and put out an album. As to whether an 80's band could make it in today's market - I'd have say that this song blows any new rock/pop songs I've heard on the radio out of the water! Keep it going Mike and best of health!
