  • in my opinion it turned so much it hit his leg stump pad, if it turned that much it would of kept turning between the metre or so between batter and stumps so no i dont think it was out but what a spin!

  • the title given to this clip is perfect Amezing ball it looks out sure but not given may be due to it hit leg outside the line of stump may be

  • That was 100% going to smash those stumps lol, but I understand why it can't be given. Amazing delivery tho!

  • that is savage

  • @kizizik it was hit outside line of off stump meaning can't be lbw

  • Shane warne : " did this ball spin by me" ...

  • top that murali

  • The ball has a magnet in it surely?!

  • too good for his own good

  • WTF

  • 60 dislikes are bucz of umpire

  • the boll pitched in a ditch...........come on guys

  • yes, tony greig did say "ripsnorter" of a delivery

  • unplayable.....big boo to the umpire for not giving that out...i think the umpire looked and couldnt beleive it

  • @justwatchmate An LBW is not given for an "unplayable ball". There is no way the umpire can be 100% sure that the ball was going to hit the stumps. Benefit of the doubt goes to the batsman.

  • @xenethtv Plus he was outside off, offering a shot. Cracking ball mind

  • PLUM !

  • Tremendous skill from Warne, although as the commentator suggests the umpire is in fact correct, and Warne actually spun it too much

  • You see a lot of videos of other bowlers claiming they have the best ball ever, but really I don't think you can go past some of the balls that Warne used to toss down.

  • press '2' repeatedly

  • just look wher exactly he has pitched that ball, pitch surface at that point is very rough so he got that sharp turn

  • Can spin it without chucking it too,how ingenious

  • i remember that day, was watching the match live...England lost more batsmen down the cracks on the pitch than off Warnie's bowling

  • This is some bloody leg spin by Warnie!

  • shane warne is a legend

  • Leg Break bowling is just basically the best type of bowling from my opinion. But boy he knows how to put the rpm's to the ball. Yes I know the condition was just right for him too.

  • What the fuck?!?! woah!

  • going down leg

  • Pure insanity Warney, but the freakin ump had to give it not out, gutless wonder!

  • Can a ball spin any more?

    no

  • im british pakistani which gives me 2 reasons to hate Australia but warne is the greatest spin bowler of all time

  • im pakistani but still i know a ball cant spin anymore great bowler

  • A rip snorter of a delivery

  • rough patch

  • We need a urine sample from that ball

  • @ralf272 LOL thatsgold!

  • Yes we all know Shane Warne 'rip snorts'

  • Nice, what sport is that?

  • @realbazini cricket

  • @realbazini you know the bowler is an Aussie-German. hehe

  • @realbazini Lol your yrolling right. Youv'e never seen a Cricket delivery before?

  • No doubt about that Shane Warne was a great leg spinner but for those who understand cricket, the ball turned after hitting the rough.I have seen Muttiah MURILTHARAN spinning the ball from ordinary surface much more than that.

  • @776921 'Chucking' doesnt count!

  • @Buddha2you thats what you think...

  • @776921 Ordinary surfaces in Sri Lanka, Spin friendly pitches, this was in England, fast bowling friendly pitches.

  • Well it's not a 1 off ball so he must be putting some serious revs on that ball... I've seen a few different balls like this by warne absolute beauty!!!

  • I really miss the old Shane Warne :( Elizabeth Hurley has changed him a lot.

  • LOL Kevin at the other end was just like :OOOOO Fucking glad I didnt face that one :D

  • That's not spin it just hit a bump in the rough. You will notice that the batsman is left-handed. That's where the bowlers rough up the pitch with their follow-throughs.

  • @cwocwoc

  • @cwocwoc True. It wasnt something magical. Just a great use of pitch's condition

  • No, no it can not.

  • Comment removed

  • wtf is a ripsnorter?

  • @patskelly111 Mate, he means it's an absolute GEM of a delivery! An absolute "beauty"! A "ripsnorter"!

  • @simplydunham thanks

  • how many rotations on that shit DAMN

  • 'ARRRHHHHHHH!!'

    *Umpire shakes head*

    'GARRHHH?'

  • @OliByGolly1 Lmao :D

  • @OliByGolly1

The ball hit outside the line. Good decision!

  • @OliByGolly1 HAHAHAHHH!! GARRRHHH?? LOL

  • you cant ever give that out...

  • What a fantastic decision!

  • Thats a ripsnorter of a delivery!

  • murali

  • you cant call it just spin, it is the bad patch effect

  • man

  • i would say thats was a out if i was the empire

  • @sherlon900 That's why your not an Umpire.

  • thats not all spin it hit the pitch on a worn out place as well to make it turn even sharper. He is a legend tho

  • @phillipibanez mate just because shane warn was the best spinner ever and always will be doesn't been u have to put down his skill

  • @kyezadess dude seriously can you read?I didnt say anything about his skill I said he's a fucking legend wtf?

  • @kyezadess no he's right it hit the rough (footmarks) which gives the ball more grip, which in turn allows it to spin more. Still I've never seen a ball spin that far out of the rough.

  • he can spin the whole earth if he wants...

  • warne never appealed, he demanded that batsman be given out

  • Warney, fantastic cricketer, shocking sportsman. Look at Umpire Rudy's face as Warne yet again bring's the game a few cogs lower by disputing a decision.

  • Settle down Warney, it hit him outside the line.

  • Comment removed

  • That was so sick!!!!!

  • Best spin bowler I have seen by far and a top bloke and thats from and Englishman

  • Thumbs up if you cant spin it that far!! XD

  • @eagles158 Nope. Thumb whores can get fucked.

  • I didnt find anything 'great' C wher the ball pitched...

  • meh

  • the balls was pitched into a rough spot so it had this abnormal turn.........look well where he spotted the ball !

  • only warne can do this :)

  • he just bowled it round arm credit to him though

  • haunting memmories

  • Watch your rugby, baseball, hockey, tennis, test cricket is the ultimate game of endurance, incredible.

  • *SPEECHLESS*

  • i seems wen warne bowls the ball balls say to warne tat hey mr.warne wat will b the amount of turn i shuld turn..........

  • That ball clearly landed on rough patch / bowling footmark and tool ugly turn. By the way Warne can spin ball even more that this delivery but his greatest ability is balling variation and ability to take wickets. I saw Rajesh Chavan [do you remember him?] spinning ball more than Warne but who cares if you are not wicket taker.

  • That's a perfect example of the effect of performance enhancing drugs!

  • Can a ball spin anymore? No.

  • I have never seen any spinner turning ball so much if any one has video pl upload to show to all the beauty of spin bowling, Shane is living legend

  • id love to see the rotator on that delivery.

  • @10babiscar

    *out of range*

  • It just hit a foot-mark and turned viciously. Even Rangana Herath does that.

  • turned like a rubiks cube on a pebbly beach!

  • That's why he is the spin king.

  • No batsman not even the great Sir Bradman or Sachin Tendulkar could not have protected that let alone play it.

  • legend has it that this ball is still spinning too this day

  • @HUGOVANTA i actually laughed

  • @HUGOVANTA legend has it that this ball is still spinning *to this day

  • @al0cer ruin it much? :P

  • @HUGOVANTA was in a bad mood saw ur comment and it put a smile on me face, :)

  • @JonnytheAdviser your very welcom :)

  • the ball deflected off a pothole

  • One of these 'YouTube" clips one day will actually show Shane Warne Bowling AT the Batsmen...

  • what the hell is a ''rip snorter''

  • damn i wish they had hawkeye back then!

  • The Laws of Physics wants to know what the hell just happen

  • Warne Hit the damaged surface to get that turn .

  • @somicsam

If I was the Batsmen and he KEPT bowling there instead of at me, I would Refuse to take Stance to face him Until he bowled AT me...

  • Warne= genius. Has there ever been a better spinner in living memory?

  • press 2 repeatedly to see shane warne rage

  • wow epic////

  • @malhar360 that takes nothing away from the quality of his delivery though, he clearly meant to land the ball in the rough patch. he used the pitch to his advantage, and did it well.

  • That was so out

  • @DJlachlan Struck outside of line + no way umpire could judge without element of doubt.

  • DAMN!!!!!!

  • The ball is out for sure the empire told lies :D

  • Ball pitched in the 'Bad' patch of which has wear n tear and hence the extra deviation, though Shane warne is great spinner but this ball is not his best ......its turned more bcz of the bad patch in the pitch ...see closely

  • Holy shit....

  • Put your weight behind it Warnie!!

  • The batsman was playing the ball and suddenly Rajnikanth moved the earth :P

  • gone

  • Awesome spin i can do the same thing

  • now i see why he is king of spin

  • woow. thats just bs.

  • fuck ..... that was an awesome spin ....

  • That turned so much it would have been a legside wide lol !!

  • yes.....

  • just hit the rough... no great effort by warnie there

  • rip snorter

    tony greig classic

  • Keep pressing 6 really quickly

  • @Karlhemming2000 Keep pressing 2 really quicker. Funnier than 6

  • @sevens2 if it hits you outside the line and you dont offer a shot you can be given lbso matloz is right.

  • I wouldnt call that, "playing a shot" ... he just put his bat down after he'd been beaten all ends up by a ripsnorter!

  • how the fuck do spin bowlers bowl faster than i can and im a pase bowler like wtf?!?!

  • I wish we had the technology we have today to see how far THAT spun - at least 20 degrees

  • Warnie, I love you mate, but never heard of 'pitching in line with the stumps'?

  • the batsman was playing a shot,so that negates the appeal straight away.

  • @matloz11 Are you dumb. do you even know how LBW even works. This was not out but not because the batsmen played a shot, it hit him outside the line of stumps

  • @matloz11 it only makes it not out if he plays the shot and if the ball hits the bat first before his leg

  • No, no it can't

  • fucken hell! got enough spin?

  • Oh A Beautiful Ball! its gonna miss the leg stump lol

  • One can easily see that the ball pitched on the roughest part of the pitch and hence the prodigious spin. I am not taking anything away from Warne, as graet a bowler as he is. I am just pointing out why it spun so much.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • murali can spin it better.

  • @DevPack no he cant, because is retired already ! LOL

  • @r14balu that is irrelevant..When they both played Murali was the better spinner. Thats is why people hate Murali soo much they never wanted to a dark skinned person outperform a white.

  • @DevPack In your opinion he's better that doesn't make it fact. I believe they where both awesome.

  • @onarass fair enough :)

  • @DevPack no, its because he faced alot of worse teams than warne did. warne had better deliverys, more variety and disguise..

  • @DevPack Murali took 174 wickets against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, Warne only took 17 against them, Murali played most of his career in Sri Lanka, its basically a spin heaven, the pitches deteriorate really easily, while Warne played most of his career in Australia, the pitches are hard and bouncy, good for pace, Murali didnt play much in Australia due to sledging. Murali didn't have anyone to compete with over wickets, while Warne had Mcgrath, Gillespie, Brett Lee and a few others.

  • It was the rough Patch which did the trick . Warnie took advantage of it !!

  • @capio78 No. It's not. Plumb is derived from plumb-line, a weight on the end of a piece of string used by tradesmen to create straight lines. So when the ball pitches, then heads stright for the wicket, perpendicular to the wicket, it is, then plumb. If a ball is plumb its probably lbw (unless too high or whatever), but if it's lbw it doesn't necessarily mean its plumb.

  • loooool its the funniest when he appeals.

  • Many years later, and still no one knows what ripsnorter means. Tony Grieg, you are a legend.

  • long live ahane warn

  • The ball pitched on Rough area. He can spin too much. THis is not right example..:)

  • shut up fatty, not out

  • A WAS A RIPSNORTER OF A DELIVERY, classic tony greig

  • In years to come, youngsters will watch these clips and realise why Warne was ranked in the top #5 cricketers of all time.

  • rough area shmuff area ... it takes mad skills to hit that spot while giving it flight and to give it so much spin to deviate so much is really magic

  • NOT ARGUING THAT SOMEBODY IS BETTER THAN WARNE...THE BEST BOWLER EVER....BUT THIS WAS WITH THE HELP OF ROUGH AREA...

  • @wasimakram789 he bowled into it on purpose idiot

  • @ak47popper .........U r an super idiot....go and learn ABC of cricket first...then come and comment....look the ball was on rough area. And it did not even bounce....Why u silly people always argue.? ...Dick heads.

  • @wasimakram789 he put it onto the rough spot on purpose, not on accident. fuck off back to the slums peasant
