Greetings from Atlantic Canada. First off thank you for all your videos, tips and advice, it makes my life much easier. As a MMJ patient who normally grows between 15 and 40 plants, it took me all day yesterday to trim 8 plants by hand and today my back, shoulders and eyes are still too sore to finish the other 7. Would you still recommend this Handy Trimmer or perhaps the Trim Reaper? Which one in your opinion would speed up the process and cause the least amount of damage to buds? Thanks

I read that this trimmer makes it really hard to use the trim for hash via bubble bags. Is this true? I would like to know if you have used the trim to make bubble hash out of. This is the deciding factor on if I will or will not purchase. Thanks, g-grizzle

bud if u want high grade bubble hash. it's better to manicure your buds before

using them for hash of any kind.

@alexiox55 Put a couple coins in with the dried trim.  Now whenever you want keif, you can shake out some keif onto a mirror, picture frame, whatever and scrape it up. It's great, handy, and useful if you don't have any extraction bags and don't want to do solvent extraction.

its more of a personal preferance, its easier to trim wet because the leaves are still sticking out, when it drys u have to get up close and personal to get the leaves because they go against the bud when it drys

He is using gloves because when trimming, your fingers develop a good amount of resin on them. When you are done trimming, you can freeze the gloves in the freezer, and chisel off the resin that built up on the gloves.

It's really just a matter of taste. I prefer hash over bud, and machines like this make it much faster to gather excellent trim for extraction while still preserving the buds with enough trichomes on them to still enjoy in joints. Once prohibition ends I really hope to see hash becoming the "new wine." :)

yeah man just leave a bunch of the small bottom stuff on it and give it your regular high nitrogen nutes then put the lights on 24 hrs and it will switch back within a week or 2 at most, the advantage of this are that you can put it in flowering sooner than you could with a seed or clone and you will have some monster plants

Ummm no. All that trim you speak of that's apparently gone to waste will be made into hash. It's really that simple. Even if the crytals are all smashed up, you can still extract it using the isohash method. It's not like the THC is going to go anywhere.

Hi Remo!

I have a question. Several of the books I've recently read all state that at the time of harvest, one should only remove the large fan leaves and then hang the plants and allow to dry from 10-14 days until the stems snap - and then at that point manicure the buds fully.

Is there any reason why in this video you're trimming your buds so fresh/wet after harvest? Also, wouldn't such a machine be "brutal" to the buds to the point of removing all the trichomes?

yes harvest the plant down to about a foot leave a lot of leaves so i continue to grow then grow back up to w/e height than flower again. i would of just cloned the plant much easier than doing it this way

hang your buds or put them in a paper bag for 5+days

cure them in glass jars opening them twice daily for about 20 minutes a piece for about 3 weeks to a month

after that open them once daily for the next month or so until your buds are becoming crisp..

when crisp keep your jars closed for another 1-3 months for absolute premo

it is really expensive but definately worth it if you grow huge piles of weed. recommend it for everyone who want to clean their buds real easy. there is another one you can plug in to a normal vacuum cleaner. it cuts all leafs with out hurting a single hair on the bud. it is kind of like a garden trimmer with a vacuum. dont know how much that costs but definately under 200$. peace and keep on smoking ya´ll
