This is outdated. There is now Soi-Fon's bankai to add, and Ichigo's (technical) second bankai. We will probably never see Unohana's, Genryusai's, Ukitake's, Urahara's or Kyouraku's bankais. I guess th series is better off that way, makes those characters more enteresting. Also we wont see any of the Vizard's bankai either (a few of them where captains like Shinji so they should have bankai). I'd be awsome if we could at least see some concept art for them when bleach ends (if it does).

If the Bankai is so powerful, I wonder what Yamamoto's is like. His shikai is deadly enough and he has the "oldest and most powerful zanpakuto". @ninja7894561230 the earlier form is called shikai, and it's just that ichigo doesn't have one. they explain early on in the show that some special swords skip the shikai step, power up, whatever you want to call it. I believe kenpachi sword is like that too. Bankai is the final form and is a captains last resort
