What about pull compensation? The puncher didn't take into account that once the orange parts are embroidered, if you stitch the black section precisely to the point where the orange sections are supposed to be, you'll get a 1mm gap.
A real puncher would punch first the black part, taking into account the pull compensation, thus actually punching the black section intersecting with the orange section about 1mm..
