  • Nice job! I'm so glad that the congregation gave you a standing ovation as they should've. The room is quite dry eh? That's too bad. What vintage is this Aeolian-Skinner post G. Donald Harrison? Again, good job!

  • I agree that it is great that the congregation remains seated for the Postlude. At the church where I played in Germany, it was customary that the Prelude AND Postlude was part of the church service. The ministers said that the organists work hard to learn the pieces and it shows respect for their contribution and efforts. Also, my parents church in Columbus, Ohio (Methodist) also remains seated for the postlude. It took awhile to "retrain" the congregation, but now it is routine.

  • why's this muted now?

  • @SilverMist837 Hello Roberts sister. hahah I just realized this was you.

  • 2 great things in addition to the playing itself--great to see young people interested in the organ, and great to see an entire congregation stay and LISTEN to the postlude. Technically, they don't have to --it's considered "exit" music.

  • What a wonderful organ sound--and very well played by a very young organist! Thanks!

  • Is this Second Presbyterian?

  • Yes this is Second Presbyterian of Indianapolis, IN.

  • Yes, I need to make this clear. This is Robert Welch playing. Not me! lol

  • Very, very nice! Get a load of the pedal on that organ, and such nice people to stay seated during the postlude, do they do that every Sunday?

  • thats me!

  • AND the pedal in this organ is very very well supported and strong..it has two full length 32' stops.

  • no, this was a special occasion lol

  • The pedal sounds phenomenal and no wonder why! I wish the people at my church would sit for special occasions, I'm not getting my hopes up that they'll ever sit for a postlude! You know, at the Christian Science Mother Church, all the congregants sit quietly and inventively through the postlude every Sunday, such respectful members there! Every time I go there, I feel as though I should personally thank everyone of them!

  • Very cool so... Good boy, you will be a nice organist...

  • thanks!

  • Very cool!
