I did and apprenticeship back in the 80's, it was 15th regs then!..... I actually went on to do a degree and become an electrical engineer which I did for 10 years, but i did not like office work, so I came back to sparking...I have been a self employed electrician for 12 years now and dont regret any of it..... As you can see once you have a trade you have it for life regardless of your future circumstance.... some good advice there:)

ive been looking at tradequalified.co.uk, anybody use these before? they offer a course which comprises of, (Inspection Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations City & Guilds 2391),The 17th Edition, City & Guilds 2382, PAT - City & Guilds 2377, (Domestic Installer Certificate - Full Scope for Part P certification),Essential Electrics - CITB, Appointed Persons First Aid Health and Safety Executive, CSCS Site Safety Card, is this worth doing will it allow me to work for my self?

been in the trade since 1986. I make more than most of my friends including one thats a dentist. Great trade if you do it right and above all PRICE jobs right. No need for discounting or free estimates.
