If you loved Kate's stuff, now go over and check out Steve Goodman, who was a contemporary of Kate's and met the same fate at about the same time. Both were pioneers of the singer/songwriter genre that flourishes today.
I've attended the Kate Wolf Memorial Festival a few times, and seeing Nina Gerber play is still... well, it's like Kate is right there, playing with her. It's beautiful.
What a pleasure to see these Clips of Kate Wolf! Thank you for the Postings. Somehow, her inner strength, courage and serenity come right across.
I discovered her music through Rick and Lorraine Lee when they toured South West Scotland in the late 1970s. They have a wonderful version of this song on vinyl - if you remember that medium.
Given the courage, and permission, I will contribute my own version of one of Kate's less well known songs, some day.
Lovely. This is not one of my favorite Kate Wolf songs, but Kate sounds great, as usual, and there are so few videos of her available online. Thanks for sharing it.
