Yes, I see the similarity to Mote, and yes, the shoegazer reference is apparent, and I am I giant Dinosaur and BV fan, but at least give a listen to more of their songs....every artist steals.....I think you will at least find a very new and unique pop song writer and singer and the classic introvert behind the scenes magic in pop duos.....I don't think you could separate this duo without diminishing the sound....they must have chemistry that makes...well, what I think is really great pop music

I admit, first thing I thought when hearing this song was Mote. But so what? Is this the first time a riff was taken in the great big world of rock, and reclaimed? I'm sure Lee Ranaldo could care less about some guys taking 3 or 4 chords he put together almost 20 years ago and using it as a foundation for a new idea. Both songs took the same riffs and went in completely different directions.

Honestly, what made Mote for me was Thurston's noise guitar. But I digress...
