  • Lol. The ad at the beginning was for subway. Ironic.

  • I totally admire your perspective! This is awesome :)

  • what a great video, i love the way you are slowly explaining and not judging... perfect way to see the world :)

  • This is so refreshing. Thank you. :)

  • You don't need to say it is your opinion. We automatically know it is your opinion because YOU are saying it. If it was someone else 's opinion the you would say "So and so's opinion is so and so".

  • @ElizarTringov the issue is that young impressionable people online, don't realize this, and take everything as truth.

  • @MahaNomi They obviously can't take everything as truth as there are videos with people whose opinions are contradictory to each other.

  • @MahaNomi Agreed with Nate. Some who speak speak as though their words are the final fact of the matter. Others speak from their own perspective and opinion and recognize it is. Thank you for clarifying.

  • My man, this is one of the most insightful videos I have ever watched on youtube. I tried to jump in and do a raw green juice fast and boy..was it the wrong way to go. Now I know...a transition of eating some good solid foods with lots of fiber etc would have went a long way to helping me in my journey. I'm intrigued..and going to take your advice. Thank You very much.

  • u hav a healthy mind

  • Good advice

  • Eating what feels right for you is a bad guide. Isn't that what everybody is already doing? Everybody thinks their eating habits are ok altho they admit that they sometimes "sin" a little. But most people think its ok to eat lots of meat. Some apparently can eat meat and do well but most cannot. When young you can eat almost anything and seem to be just fine. When you hit 30-40 tho you'll wonder why you're gaining weight all of a sudden. You're eating what you did 10 years ago. What happend! XD

  • What happened to your arm? how many stitches?

  • Well stated my friend...

  • Hey! Have you considered intellectus diet (search on google for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some great things about it and my sister lost crazy amounts of weight with it.

  • Just a little loud man, can't really hear you talking because of the music, just some constructive critic

  • Love the ending of this clip. Great insight and info!!!! :) :) Thanks NOME.

  • Very usefull video..i've recently begin to incorporate raw fruits and vegetables in my diet gradually...and i'm feeling very healthy and with a lot of energy as well.

Thanks to your videos and of other gurus here on yt...i'm learning also how not "follow the mass"...and to be what i want to be whithout being influenced by the society.

Not to sure about my english haha:) cheers from italy :)

  • Good advice!

  • Nate, this is one of my favorite videos you have made so far. You expressed what I have been thinking all along. We must do what is right for ourselves & continue to share & learn from oneanother, without harsh judgment. That creats an open mind, acceptance and a much better path to learning and growth. There is no one way for everyone, we do what works for ourselves while respect others for their own journey. Love ya and this was an awsome video with integrity.

  • People who have experimented with diet for a long time, the people you mentioned, are valuable resources. But I think science and scientists have something to say about the subject of diet. I didn't hear you mention the names of scientists or scientific papers. These are important resources because scientific papers are often based on the results of hundreds or thousands of people. You are right to say that it is impossible to draw conclusions from one person's experience.

  • I really like this video and what you have to say. I would like extend what you said about examining the source and where they are coming from, where they are at, and researching for yourself. This is the essence of education reading, lectures, questioning, discussing and further research and should be applied to all topics. For example, Durian Riders blocked me for asking a question (in a humorous way) regarding what would happen if I ate high calorie while not being able to work out.

  • we are frugivores and vitalis is an idiot

  • @TheJUNGLESURFER care to expand on that? : )

  • @MahaNomi junglesurfer is a really close minded person he thinks we dont need water just the liquid from fruits ?!?!?!?

  • @MahaNomi Agreed. And even monkeys eat insects, lizards and even Baboons eat meat. But I do agree most of out diet should be fruit.

  • @MahaNomi kind of crazy that i just did a vid that sounded just like this and got a lot of negative feedback, but some good too, im done judging people for how they eat, honestly, no one knows unless youve been doing something for a real long time, ive been vegan for a 4 yrs now but, you never know, and i dont want to live with regret or pigeon hole myself, there are so many variables, some say there are more animals killed in grain agriculture than pastured animal farms, some say the opposite

  • Great video

  • Durianrider is really hardcore, like... he seems to be judgemental of people who don't eat at least raw. Its really annoying.

  • @PeaceUdo Durianrider is hardcore but I understand, for the most part, where he's coming from. I'm a raw vegan too and my diet, while not that of a fruitarian, is of a low fat raw vegan diet as well. The difference between me and Durianrider is that I will not allow one person, namely Doug Graham, to dictate what is appropriate for me to eat. I follow some of his guidelines but I do include sprouts, spirulina, wheatgrass and even sauerkraut, which he considers poisonous, to my diet.

  • @rawmark

I do about the same diet. I do not limit myself to great things like herbs, fermented foods and sprouts because I find great benefits from them. I like the low fat approach but more like 15-20 percent.

  • I appreciate this video and the time taken to make this. We need more people like you with an open mind to this subject. Theres too much debate with diet its becoming some sort of cult at some points.. Eat what you can eat, and if you can eat something try and make it as close to nature whether it be greens, fruit, or animal food whatever sustains you is the key to health.

  • Matt Monarch is another marketing scam artist, like David Wolfe who claims to eat one way yet sells colostrum in his store. For someone claiming to be a vegan this makes him a hypocrite. Also, look at all the garbage he sells in his store. This is all so he can make money to pay for that property in Equador.

  • @rawmark what is colostrum?

  • @PeaceUdo Colostrum is a form of milk that is produced by the mammary glands of mammals in late pregnancy usually right before giving birth. It's critical for the unborn infant as it contains antibodies the protect the newborn against disease. However, it's still an animal product and, as such, should be avoided if one is vegan.

  • too be honest, i think that avoiding meat isn't that bad of an idea now a days, considering where 95% of it comes from. If you go out and kill your own animals, that is different... no hormones, drugs, genetically modified crap is what you want to shoot for. =)

  • You should watch watch?v=7tKstI4HcIk

We look upon the master's diet on spirituality but ignore their word on diet. The master healers will always be right.

  • Fermented food were spoken by Muhammad. Wheatgrass was spoken by Jeshwua, You should read

    The ESSENE GOSPEL OF PEACE

    Book One

The Original Hebrew and Aramaic Texts

    Translated and edited by

    EDMOND BORDEAUX SZEKELY

    MCMLXXXI

    INTERNATIONAL BIOGENIC SOCIETY

    It is eye opening.

  • Meat is not essentially bad but it dulls the mind into an earthly spectrum of being. The true masters who have mastered mastery unlike this Gurus were never vegan all had dairy, sprouted bread, raw fruits, and used herbs to heal. Tonic herbs are beautiful. Matt body is clean but he cannot do 1000 pushups in a day on that diet.

Excessive fruit definitely ages you, and Daniel right but meat is not the answer. yes even meat is important in the healing process after such a cleansing diet..

  • I follow the true master's diet. The Essenes, Buddhas, the yogis, Yeshwua (Jesus), marathon monks, prophet Muhammad, Krishna. This people were the the pure minds who've walked the earth and they all ate some kind of cooked food I know they will never have posisoned themseves. A true healthy diet is filled with a combination of both cooked and raw food, and a sattvik diet is the most pure for your mind and only after meditating and being still will you notice.

  • @Childrenguild i agree 100%

  • @Childrenguild Very true, those are the best dietary guidelines, but - even those diets must modified for that person's specific needs. I'm not saying you haven't taken this into account, but I feel I should mention it anyways. A master's greatest diet comes from understanding his own health. Others may specialize in a great amount of research and trial and error, but after all factual knowledge is put aside, the real master to follow is indeed yourself, never a mirror image of any other.

  • @Childrenguild cooking is a major contributor to global warming

  • @Childrenguild  the essenes are raw vegetarians....... o.O read the gospel of peace {google}

  • just saw a video of yours linked onto liferegenerator and then iI became hooked. i like what you have to say in your videos! Thanks

  • love it ^.^

  • raw veganism=weekness , theres no two ways about it.

  • @essenesearcher .. another wonderful opinion. thanks for sharing! : ) PM me and ill send you the link to plenty of raw/vegan bodybuilders! In the mean time check out RealRawMatt & RawFoodMuscle for starters : )

  • @MahaNo ive seen plenty of raw atheletes, dont care, raw matt looks starving, save the cult of dietary enlightenment for people with orthorexia

  • @essenesearcher , what is dietary enlightenment? hehe I personally think a Raw/Vegan diet is perfect for cleaning out, and when done well for a few years, it can really set you up to truly absorb and make use of your future diet, which should definitely be omnivorous. Unless you are eating amazingly high quality food your whole life, its important to cleanse, and then rebuild with the right stuff. What do you think about that? I appreciate you sharing your opinions! Let's keep the convo flowing

  • Pity Vitalis is saying meat works for him when its known to have terrible health effects. 'They'll also tell you that cultures known for following high-meat diets, such as the Inuit and Masai, are perfectly healthy. However, I have conflicting information that includes reports that Inuits suffer from one of the highest osteoporosis rates in the world, and that the Masai do in fact suffer from cardio-vascular disease, arthritis and osteoporosis (particularly the males)" rawforlife dot co uk

  • you are so cool dude, i love you

  • @RawAthlete thanks bro! please share the video if you like it!

  • @MahaNomi Of course I will share it. You know, the music in the beginning is so crucial for setting an atmosphere. I love listening to music like that on pandora, pce brother

  • @RawAthlete that's my band! : )

  • Your so sweet ...good job. You really do have to change your diet slowly. We go abroad and get sick cause our bodies dont know how to handle whole unudulterated foods. The processed corrupt countries always strongly advise you to not eat street foods when abroad. (the west) People who dont listen come back feeling revitalised if they eat whatever they want. Get YOUNG coconuts. MEN especially. Magnesium is goo and rare. I loved these. You can get these in health food stores in USA.

  • EXPOSED AAAGGHHH!!!!

  • @TheSbVegan AAAAGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

  • Thanks for making this!

  • right on .. super practical .. thx 4 making

  • @DreamingWorlds Thank you! Practical is KEY!

  • This new hairstyle/look really suits you! Very nice intro, what software did you use to do that graphic intro? Please share your wisdom with us. thanks! :o)

  • @amazinginspiration hehe just I movie

  • Great job Nate... Bless you

  • those are some rad graphics nate, wow you are really accelerating with your video editing work, rawk on

  • You seem so grown up my dear!

  • yo duuddee!! hair cut looks great!

  • alot easier to take you serisous wich the haircut lol, you look older more mature and more profesional dude ah =p

  • @misseptember thank you.. i feel more professional haha

  • i listen to everyones info ,Vitalis talks about eating raw meat but Raw meat can be dangerous ! Raw meat does not mean its a raw food!

  • @RawFoodGuy99 ... Notice how that is your opinion.. some people religiously believe raw meat is one of the best things to eat... : ) thanks for sharing : )

  • @MahaNomi ,Raw meat has no lifeforce or engery when photographed under Kirlian Photography, its dead rotten muscle. Are intestines are way to long for us to eat meat on a everyday bases! Its not really a opinion about raw meat being dangerous, many people have died from eating raw meat, even two of David wolfes good friends ! If people want to eat raw meat i have no problem, its up to them! :-)

  • @RawFoodGuy99 ... I understand... all i am saying is that no matter what anyone says... its there opinion... just cuz certain foods look different with Kirilian photography doesn't mean people will believe it. I personally agree with Kirilian photography... but wouldn't use that to prove someone why eating meat is bad

  • @MahaNomi ,There are opioions and there are facts! i do understand what you're saying..Somethings may not work for all,but in general it does ! From year to year as you get more and more knowledge your oponions will change many times over. i find over time with me and many people we go back to simple rawfood eating! As for Raw meat ,i do think the death part does hold some weight !! lol....

  • @RawFoodGuy99 .. i stay very open.. and allow my opinions to change at any moment.. Simple is the best!! thats my favorite deal! the death part holds MUCH weight!

  • i am a bit unclear as to how only consuming coconut water and a green smoothie in a single day is an attainment or something to sought after? is not having enough money to properly nourish yourself or choosing to starve yourself commendable?

  • @herbgardner00 what i meant was... people look up to Matt Monarch, and when they hear him say that that was all he ate in one day.. it's easy for them to think that's ok for them too.. when it's not.. Matt can eat that little and that simply every few days, because he absorbs it so well. the average joe would not be able to handle that haha.

  • Thanks, i feel the same way.

  • Brilliant!

  • Great Video! Well said, people need to hear this =D

  • I'd like to try raw again, I did a raw food fast for 21 days in 2009 but man I was craving some chicken lol I did feel better, but I'm not sure I have enough self control for that. I do some raw food days here and there though it helps me make sure I'm eating enough veggies and fruits. Great video and thoughts on the subject.

  • I actually have to spend some time to figure out a new diet. Mainly for health reasons. My only concern is how to afford it...:/ I also I have to figure out finances. :)

  • GREAT VIDEO!!! Oh, and the hair looks good!!!

  • Nice vid man!

  • this might be your best video ever..

  • wonderfully said! and your hair looks great :)

  • Its a war of dietary ideology / philosophical dietary beliefs... its a battle of dietary principles... the issue complexifies when the vegetarian / animal rights aspect enters... its a great issue to divide people

  • Hi Nate. Your talk reminds me of the book "Survival into 21st Century." It's an amazing book, but there's a recurrent theme that I believe really causes physical and mental harm. Kulvinskas constantly emphasizes the importance of being extremely frugal in meals, to eat small salads with no dressing and to not snack in between. I tried it and nearly went crazy, looked anorexic and was constantly hungry. I've also noticed that people under the influence of that book often look the same.

  • True. all the "experts" do come from opinion. But there are also factual factors we have to take into consideration. Although Harley's opinion is that we are all built for fruit and carbs, he also is giving us hard science in that every cell in your body is fueled by sugar (glucose)... So we need to carefully listen to what things are truly opinion and what is science. For example, i think we should listen to people who tell us to stay off of excitotoxins as these are proven toxic 2 the brain

  • @RawHealingPatch PERFECT point! Harley's scientific evidence is a great example of what one should be looking for when researching health : ) i didn't mention that specifically in this video in order to be non-biased.. since i mention him and two others.. and in truth don't think any of the three men are better than another... but at least now everyone can check out each person's approach to teaching.

  • @MahaNomi Harley's scientific evidence? where? each time I hear him speak all his 'evidence' seems soooo deeply... vague!

  • @lxvlx well i suggest just watching more of his videos.. just the fact that he shows you his blood test.. he is doing great, and it is def true that every cell runs on Glucose... that seems worth taking into consideration

  • wow ! I'm so proud of you! You are doing it! Love you babe!!

  • Don't forget to reference science too. Not just opinions.

  • It's a myth that goes round that the high fruit diet is more ideal for athletes. Everyone should be able to achieve optimal health with it! If not active, just eat less in order to suit calorific requirements!

The raw/vegan lifestyle for many isn't just a choice about what one eats, it's also a choice in avoiding the ghastly suffering of animals for "food".

Anyway, well done with your effort :-)

  • @natureasintended... good point.. but i am not talking about veganism at all in this video.. thats for the next video! ; )

  • @MahaNomi I was referring to Vitalis and what he says works for him. For other foodies, it's not only about diet!

Oh yeah, and Matt Monarch's opinion that he's "stuck" with raw and won't be able to eat cooked food without an extreme reaction is just his opinion. He mentioned an extreme reaction with cacao, but that's cacao, a stimulant obviously! :-)

  • O.K let me see, mmmmmm, What is OPINION?, hahahhahha, nice video.

    Peace. ;0)

  • Such a wise vid Nate! :) Thanks for the plug ;)

  • omg, you got your hair did!

Taking these collective opinions and applying them to my life is what its all about. Keep the clips coming. Peace :)

  • Wow. Nicely articulated, and good, clean energy.. By the way, the do looks good! Turns out I just got a haircut a few days ago (for a culinary course I'm attending), and it looks pretty much just like yours, which is a far cry from when it used to be down to my belly button! I know you're not a big fan of it, but I think it looks good.

By the way, you forgot Zak's name in your tags :)

  • Well said couldn't agree more.
