  • For a long time, I didn't even recognize that he had sampled Stepping Out. I just thought it was a sick ass beat. When it finally dawned on me, it made it that much more amazing to me. Sure, it's just a loop, but it's the way he looped it and put his spin on it, as well as many other beats he made over the years, that made him one of a kind! The same "not recognizing the sample right away" eureka moment happened to me as well on SV's "Go Ladies". It took me years to catch what that sample was!

  • I bet know one noticed Jean Claude Van Damn in the background of the beach seen!

  • I wanted to let you know where the sample from "Brooklyn's Finest" came from. "Ecstacy" The Ohio Players. 415 also sampled it for "Groupie Ass Bitch"

  • Thanks but I know it came from a sample. I was asking what kind of piano instrument was used for it.

  • nah bruh...the sample's from joe jackson...steppin out

  • yeah, we know that. Jcompoze was telling me about the Jay-Z song "Brooklyn's Finest."

    Thanks though

  • @jcompoze No One Really Cares About Jay Z Fool...

No One Asked For That Sample.

Go Somewhere Else With That Washed Up Shit

  • @ezearl. I'M the one who asked for that sample. I asked for it in another video and jcompoze was nice enough to let me know where it came from. No need for hostility in here man...

  • Nice job man!

  • AMAZING JOB. One of the nicest samples I heard dilla use yet!

  • The sample is

    Stepping Out by Joe Jackson

  • rechopped...dope though. one of my favorite dilla interludes

  • Did the best you could do? This isnt a dilla beat?

  • It IS a Dilla beat I'm just saying I looped it from the mix. Read the description for details. That's why the volume goes up and down. I just captured it.

But again, yes, it's a Dilla beat. Not mine at all.

  • @DrOctagon20 You did a great job with that.

J.Rocc was lucky enough to get Dilla's session with that one. It was the intro beat on the third volume of the 2002 "batches" and Dilla talked over it.

  • @uniqueterror do you have batch 3? I have 1, 2 and 5. The internet always messes them up though.

  • great upload

  • Thank you. Did the best I could with the loop.
