  • I'm not saying this new style they've used in the 2 Road Salt albums isn't great, it just takes some time to get used too. Still, my favourite PoS albums are: The Perfect Element; Remedy Lane; Be. I keep searching for bands/artists who play in the same style as in those albums, so far I've only found Vangough's Manikin Parade.. any other suggestions?

  • Shivers....

  • I adore the diversity these guys bring in each song.

  • Love these two albums. Was a fan of the older stuff but didn't love em. Picking this one up at PPUSA

  • I saw this song live and...wow...it kicks so much asses !

  • @rockmetalfan13 where did u see them if i may ask?

  • @PolskaSR : It was in Montpellier... their sound was not as good as Opeth's but it was pretty damn good (but not as good as Opeth too in my opinion)

  • i would love to hear this in vinyl! Id sperm everywhere

  • SLAP THAT BASS !!!!!!!!!!

  • surely no my favorite album but it is ok

I'd just really like it if they made some kind of be II

  • @thijsbults 2 Be or not 2 Be? ;D

  • @Spotfarm666 seriously?

  • In the high vocal note after 1:12 it totalyy sounds like the guitar note is an overtone in his voice. Total eargasm :D

  • I'm not sure I'm liking the production here. I miss that "wall-of-sound" of past.

  • @RockyMM Yeah, it's a drift that many bands of the "heavy" genre take at the moment: going sort of back to the roots, away from the overproduced sound that reigned new releases in the last few years. E.g. Opeth took the same path with Heritage. I know how you feel with the uncertainty, I feel the same. Maybe bands have to somehow "overcompensate" for the next few years and in some 3 or 4 years, the sound will be in between the two extremes (which then, to me, will sound perfect).

  • @700wiuf3 Yeah, sure. That's what I think, too. Hm... don't know... Having been a huge fan of Opeths dark, heavy sound and Mikael's deep growling voice, I'm now in between disappointment an fascination with Heritage. Pain of Salvation is rather new to me, though it has been on my "become acquainted with this band"-list. And now I'm asking myself, how I could overlook this great band, which has been around for so many years!

  • Incredible how they change style in every album, but the essence is the same.

One of the most amazing bands, they're living legends.
