Nmaa I miss you so much and all the family; Nii Klotey, Nii Kortei, Paa T, Amoako and Kojo with you in Heaven. God's willing we shall all meet again someday.
I am listening to LIBERA, the boys Choir and with their Angelic Voices they are lifting me spiritually to connect with you. They sing so amazingly and Godly. True gifts from God to us listeners.

Yes, awful for them when puberty hits however it was far worse some time back. Castratos were very famous at one time. These boys can count their blessings that they live in THESE times. yikes!
@goblinonacloud These boys are English. Castration was not a feaure of English life. Now had they been Roiman Catholics and in the Papal choir they would have forfeited their gonads for sure for the sake of Papal pleasure. The long fight to free England from Rome was successful. Aled
@ifuliki You mix your history. Its unfortunate that you were not born during the reign of King Henry VIII. The split between England and the Papacy was not at all about bursting gonads but simply because the pope would not allow said monarch to have a divorce from his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, who cannot give him a male heir.

It is a long history with many Englishmen remaining faithful to Rome. In my opinion the short reign of Mary in which 300 people (including 6 Anglican bishops)were immolated in the name of he Catholic Church confirmed many in the belief that the Anglicanism of daughter Elizabeth was the right way to go. Among those people we remember as helping the cause of freedom are the Cathars, Martin Luther, Mennon and oddly enough the murderous Guy Fawkes & Mary the Queen whose short, bloody reign ( 300 burnings including 6 bishops and a woman who merely wanted to read the bible in English). My favorite solo was the BIG Ben^^ wow it's good to know that he works for libera. I thought he was singing loger as a soloist than others but i've never seen his live perf. anyone knows where i can watch it?

Ed .... very challenging appearance and facial gestures. But he's been blessed with a glorious voice.
And poor Tom is going to be shattered when his voice breaks and he can no longer sing those very high notes!
How awful to find that you need a career change at 14 or 15 years of age.
