This video was filmed the year I was born. I grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma and that was where I was first introduced to reefer. When Merl sings "we don't smoke marijuana in Muskogee" his response was pretty funny during an interview that asked him about that line. His response? He said that he is seldom in Muskogee and said that his close friend Willie Nelson cannot be found in Muskogee at all!!!!

I hear Merle wrote a song called “Let’s put a woman in charge” but I have not heard it.
