thanks for posting the video...I don't have a different screen to change, but I DO want to clean the screen as there are debris in there that bothers me. Can I get in there without using that tool? (the white colored tweezer)
I changed the focusing screen on my A900 to the type L (grid) type. It really was a simple operation, and the alternative screen has helped my composition greatly.

What difference does changing the focus screen do?

you can have a gridline overlay, wehich helps incomposing landscape or architecture photos.
and another screen which is especially useful when manually focussing (large aperture lenses or the STF portrait lens)

There is no generic screen available from Sony. But some third party manufactures do offer some. See info text box on the right.
