So i was at the game this past weekend and some poor penn state guy was like "your team sucks and PSU will win"...no one really cared about that comment... and then he said "your band sucks." Oh man I thought they guy was going to need a police escort after that. he was surrounded and being shoved. rule of thumb never say the band sucks when at an Ohio State game.

I personally believe that OSU has a great marching band, but I also believe that everyone has a right to state their opinion. Whether they are right or not. Besides, it comes with the territory. It seems to me that you can all dish it out pretty good, but are thin skinned when it comes to taking a punch.

@Kagome811, exactly. there's lots more sound with just brass, but that doesnt make woodwinds bad. and i play clarinet and trumpet, but i march clarinet cause my high school band only has like 45 people, so you can hear the woodwinds lmao -_- but i play trumpet SPECIFICALLY so that i can be in TBDBITL someday. never played it in school. just on the side, for future hopes and dreamssss

They are the largest all brass band in the world. No pussy woodwind instruments like pussy schools like Michigan band uses. "You cant hear them anyway" OSU band has lots of power being all brass and drums.

@nbkvhha Don't make OSU seem like the bad ones, now. -_- I play flute AND tuba, and I love them both. Woodwinds aren't "pussy instruments." Of course, you can't hear them during marching band (which is why I march tuba) which is what makes OSUMB so special, being all brass, but that's no reason to degrade the woodwinds in other bands. You're only making us look bad.

And what would you expect to hear, sitting in the South Stands of Ohio Stadium in C-Deck? The video was taken on the extreme opposite end of the stadium and was several hundred feet up from field level. Of course it's not going to be as loud.

The Marching 110 is a good band and so is the Ohio State Marching Band. Now can kindly we stop with the pissing contests?
