Just research doseone rap battles in Detroit, it's all about someone we all know who practiced and setup his come back lyrics! Rapping improv and being who you are and what you truly respect went down against someone who sold them self out! Aka emenem! Don't believe me read doseone's many interviews online.
@anderxale tupac was the last hip hop artist to rap about the street in an attempt to steer the young listeners away from his lifestyle while promoting the idea that no matter what happened in your past that you regret you still keep your head up. He created thug life because he was once a youngster involved in gang violence and that's all he knew. He was NOT trying to make being a thug his gimmick, rather he was using it as a medium to express his ideas.
All my good people you know who you are and all you lazy lawyers and hookers should damn well know how something awful scars... so I rap with a passion and stock rap in a record store... you make me embarrassed for BOTH (you fell on your sword) Shove your gun up your ass, you're ass good as dead.
This is EXACTLY how I feel when I see cRAP artists "blinging" with their guns, new cars and gold chains selling rhymes about criminal life to teens...
@innominehumanitas I say listen to them as much as you like, but pay them when you can. Their music is hard to find and hard to come by. If I download an album that is out of print, I buy one of the ones that are in print to support them. That being said, your intentions are good, so you ought to listen to them, and pay them later when you have the chance-- that's my opinion at least; I've considered sending a check to dose himself simply out of appreciation.
anticon.com, download the themselves podcast, the music that made tem sound behind crowns down show. Awesome gives so much insight into not only the music, but them as peoople, and it's fucking funny.
"This is the quitter's anthem, this is why you should quit, because you cheated, and ate where you shit." Probably one of my favorite lines in a song ever.
Having Dose, Jel, Eyedea, and Abilities all on the same stage at the same time rocking improv is probably one of the coolest things IO've ever seen in my life.
good people check is from "the no music" by "themselves". directions to my special place is from uhhhhhm problably the self-titled album called "them". both records are fucking killer, you have good taste man. scratch together 30$ and buyem both on amazon if you can get ahole of a credit card lol
I always wanted to get to know these guys. But I thought it impossible at the very least unlikely.... so I didn't want to even tease myself. I've never had so much respect for....
they are queit friendly! i just met Dose in the street in London, i didn't notced him first, but he just was passing by and said "Hi, my name is Adam" i was so excited and happy omg :D took a picture with him ;]]
BETTER quality than the last fm stream nice one ... this is proper old skool hip-hop ... play it to all the old farts commenting on the bye bye gone hip-hop tunes on youtube ... there's still ruff mantronix-style stuff being made ... SUPPORT!

@RoneciDesade I have also considered sending Doseone a cheque, perhaps when I have more (read; any) money. Untill then the Dose-loan stands.
