Our local radio station in Southeast PA actually gave (Lady) Put the Light on Me quite a bit of airplay. My ten-year-old self thought that flanged drum/vocal break was the coolest. I'm sure it sounds better on your post than it did through the am radio on my parents' Plymouth wagon. Thanks for the post.

Great album, to say the least! I remember how happy I was when I found a still-sealed copy of this back in the '80's!! I'm pretty sure this one has been out of print for a LOOOOOONG time.........

Sad they've never re-issued it.

I also purchased a sealed copy during the mid 80's. Buying sealed is a gamble...this one had a tad of surface noise on one side. My open copy that I bought in '77 was in far better cond.

The Private Stock label was cool..everything from Hermans Hermits, and The Troggs, to Frankie Valli. The Dirty Angels released a decent Power Pop/Rock album on the label in '76 if I recall. Reminded me of John Cougar, 10 yrs prior to anyone knowing who he was :)

@drprogensteinphp -- You're absolutely right about buying sealed copies being a gamble.........I remember well paying a fortune again back in the '80's for a "sealed" copy of Badfinger's - "Straight Up" through the mail.......only to find when I got it ALL kinds of surface noise, it even skipped a time or two!! Anyway, (getting off topic here, sort of), I'm guessing because this album was on the Private Stock label, that might be why it hasn't been re-issued!

I remember a club in Lincoln Park Mi called Jack Daniels. Cub was playing there. I used to go down to the White Castles and bring him some burgers and he did a song called Cheese Burger Blues. He was a real performer. I miss him.

This album was one of my favorites in the 70's. This band knew how to play just plain get down, hard core, kick ass Rock & Roll! And most people only know them for "Smoking in the boys Room".

I absolutely wore this LP out, 4 times! Now have no clue how to find any kind of copy! Very sad, one of my all time favorite bands, very underrated, to say the least. Thanks for the post, been a long time.

Saw the great Brownsville Station open up for Triumph at The Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, N.Y. in the Spring of 1977. When they played The Martian Boogie the crowd went nuts !!!. Great Power Trio All American Rock & Roll !!!!

As far as I know, Masters of the Airwaves only released one LP. I have a nice copy...maybe I'll do a video to 'Getting Tight & Back In 51' at some point in time. I actually have a 'Test Pressing' of the LP as well stored away...

I have another more "ragged" looking copy in storage somewhere also.

I couldn't help but notice after doing the close-up crop/scans of the back cover (on Bruce Nazarian's face to be precise), several tiny fine scratches caused by a razor blade, Lol. Gives a whole new meaning to "lines on my face" huh?

Ahh...the good 'ol daze when an album cover had a dual purpose!
