  • hi , could you not put a larger diametre tube over the bobbin and mark the raceway you require on it then remove it and cut out the raceway and then slide back overand stick it to the bobbin, then you would have no need for the tricky wire raceway , only a sudjestion and think your doing well , fitz

  • It could be a continuous weel that could be rigged with a pully system or belt? I am not sure if that even makes sense but if it does please respond. Other than that, great video, very helpful. - The House

  • My next prototype will be almost exactly that, just not with the HD magnets and a 4:1 ratio minimum.

  • Even though you have fabricated a racing track for a bearing to help move the lever up and down at the precise time, would mounting the half shaped magnet on a spining disk with perhaps two or three more hard drive magnets (to keep the 2:1 ratio level you have currently) instead of needing a lever action?

  • Great, you are a rare one who is trying to close the loop and is not afraid of showing your results. Success or failure its fun anyway.

I think you need something like a cam. This wire thing is too fragile. I'll do an animation and post for you.

  • Cool.

  • Just wanted to say keep it up and don't get discouraged.

  • how do i leave video responce

  • Very Nice work! I have followed all your vids now and am very excited to see what the latest outcome is going to be. I am starting to build one myself to see what I can do with it as I have a few different ideas to try out.

  • Go for it!

  • You'll may be needing some kind of emergency stop mechanism because, who knows maybe it will accelerate and accelerate until it will brake apart :D. Just kidding. I will wait for the test run.

  • Got one. It's called my hand. ;-)

Seriously though, if that does happen, and I hope it will, the flimsy bearing raceway will probably break first stalling the motor before causing me bodily injury, but not before catching the event on video.

  • Cant't wait to see this in action!

  • After closing the loop, I wonder the RPM's you'll be able to get. That coupled with the load value, might be able to get some considerable amps out of this. Have you gave that any thought? A finely tuned one of these with precision parts will do well.

  • Mechanically actuated with precision mfg I'm guessing maybe several thousand RPM max. I also wonder if there would be a way to replicate the action of the stator field electronically leaving only one moving part, the rotor. Then it might be able to achieve tens of thousands of RPM. That's down the road.

  • Now we're talkin'! The track diameter difference is barely noticeable. I'm glad you didn't have to resort to some electrical impulse, this is much more authentic. If this works, you are the new Tesla. Damn...I think I'm more excited than you, I really can't wait. Great job man!

  • Yes, I'm pretty happy with the results. I agree that a purely mechanical model is preferable and will erase any doubt of over unity. Also came up with a linkage configuration for the stator actuator arm that will allow me to A) Adjust the ratio by changing fulcrum position and B) Finely adjust the stator center point to the rotor edge with a screw.

  • I must confess - With such a trail behind me of succeeding at finding ways which do not work, I'm trying hard to contain any excitement until it's time to drink a toast over the demise of OPEC.

  • I can understand that feeling. You don't want to get so high that when you run into problems, your mood drops so low that you feel like giving up. It's usually best to expect the worst and go from there.

Seems how I'm not invested in it, I'll be excited for ya!

  • nice job!

  • wow
