  • I just went and bought a LiFe TX battery from HobbyKing because of this video.

    Thanks for the info.

  • what type connector do you need to hook the LiFe battery up to your turnigy 9x.

    Thanks

  • How about 5 + weeks!? from Hobbyking!????? to my home???? I would be happy for 1 to 2 weeks and at $72.00+ this is crap! for a 9X and some small parts! Hobbyking needs to get there head out of there!@#$%^&

  • Please Please Bruce, I have a zippy transmitter battery as seen in this video review.

How do I charge it as my charger does seem to have a connection to the battery that fits?

Do I need another adapter or am I missing something.

My charger is the Turnigy 4 button charger you reviewed. think it is call accucell 6 or something like that.

thx in advance for your help

  • Nice vid (as per usual), I was just wondering where you got the smoke cannister from? Thanks :)

  • Do you have a link to the smoke maker and ignition switch?

  • @pocoyo2212 Hi, I managed to find the website that sells these smoke systems, really cheap $8 shipped worldwide for one canister and an ignition switch... PM me if you want the link because utube doesn't allow links in comments :(

    Happy flying,

    Al :D

  • Hey, Bruce you know that OS 55 AX review won't be complete if you don't put pipe on it... PM me(through the ProBro site) if you want to do a review I can make and send you both 8Oz CCP muffler and 16 Oz BCM muffler, all you would have to do is just buy header from Macs Products. Just let me know ;)

  • Come on, Bruce! When's the next review? We want to see stuff!! Doesn't matter what, just do something! :)

  • I like your current backdrop too!!!

  • Finally the FPV! Nice that you also got a Dominator to compare with the home made. I just got myself a Dominator since I could not hold longer waiting for your assembled kit. Still, can't wait to see the video! Maybe I will build one too if it is better than Dominator. : )

  • Yep, your actual studio is great, keep it like that! Unless you gonna make it with more models hanging around than this one...

  • Actually, I enjoy your current studio. Nothing wrong with the background.. Keep it like that.

  • pleeeeeaaaaaassee tell me where you got the little fpv system?

  • Comment removed

  • Great job Bruce,i enjoy your video & all the info.Looking foward to the FPV videos i'am trying to get into FPV and Quad copters.

Thanks again Dan in so. Cal. USA.

  • Please please leave your workshop alone, invest in new audio visual tech by all means but the ppl who follow you are hands on modelers not the late night shopping crowd watching late night TV. Besides i'm always looking at whats on the bench.

  • Yes, save your money and keep the backdrop we all have in our workshops, keep it real Bruce

  • a studio backdrop could never be as cool as your messy workshop!

  • OMG 16 channels?? I was just about to buy a set, too. Can you leak out what I should and should not buy just yet?

And your settings are 100% fantastic, don't worry about it :) LOVE your vids!!

  • Hey, whats the website you got the pyro stuff from???

  • Where did you get the pyro stuff from Bruce?

  • Yes Bruce, Leave your back drop it suites what you do or. Its great look!..

and if you get to review any of those transmitters that you get in bargin plane RFT packages it would be nice to know how go they perform in range etc as a cheap RC Radio are they worth to buy a RFT with them in? nice work love your reviews and the Site..

  • hi bruce

please leave the presant backdrop..it looks just like home...the micro height recorder is extremly usefull..and frankly I stay clear of data transmiters and prefur to look at my model rather than at my radio screen, a fellow club member lostt his lovely scale A-10 because of this..thanks for a nice video

    urs (switzerland)

  • Bruce,

No problem with the way you have it now.

  • The more stuff back there.....the better.....Leave things the way they are......kinda lets us all know what you've been flying....or what you've been messin' with....

    Flash

  • Messy work bench is a happy work bench

  • Thumbs up for the bench view for the vids.

BTW What's that transformer for behind your left shoulder?

Doing a bit of spot welding perchance?

  • I love your background now. Please don't change it! A tour of your workshop now would be great too. Looks like such a cool place.

  • In My opinion the dx8 is a $450 paper weight and would steer people towards the jr 8ch but I was so frustrated with the dx8 that I ended up getting a futaba 8fg and I've never had a problem with it.

Thx for the vids Bruce on both your channels keep em coming as they are very educational and entertaining.

  • Always informative. Looking forward to your glue review!

  • Don't change perfection!

Besides, when I get a little less interested in your face, I scan your shop. :)

(Kidding of course but seriously, we like the current set up mate)

  • Since it works with J/R,will the LiFePO4 transmitter battery work in a DX7?

  • @roberted51 If the DX7 takes a square 8-cell AA pack it should -- I'll check for you.

  • @xjet The 8 cell pack in my DX7 has a height and width of 1-1/16 inch and is very close to 3-7/8 in long. I think it'll fit but I wasn't sure about the DX7's voltage operating range.

  • Desperately need review on Fatshark Dominators, and 5.8 Ghz video transmitter gear.

  • @svareter42 Just waiting for the Dominators to arrive.

  • Looking forward to the FPV series because I intend to eventually get into that. I've ordered the 5.8ghz Hobbyking kit with camera just to test it but I probably need to look for some better later on.

  • Instead of spending time building a studio, why don't you finish a few of the reviews you've been promising for over 6 months?

  • Bruce, I hope all those promises soon will appear in form of video because I'm tired to wait :)

P.S. don't go to those synthetic videos with green or blue background, The workshop in the background gives more feel in to the video. New and bigger desk will be more then enough.

  • leave the workshop as is, it looks great, when is the rare bear part 2 going to be shown.

  • Keep it like it is Bruce - you are an original and your background as well! Greetz from Austria

  • I like that mess in the backdrop.

  • Good to see you back, good to hear about the new improved now with lemon FPV. Some of your other viewers seem to think that a new all bells and whistles studio may not be necessary. Well, you could do the new stuff behind the camera and leave the stuff in front of the camera tastefully daggy!

  • Leave it as is Mate its perfect!!!!

  • Nitro? Whats that? Is that similar to like steam powered or something?

  • You already have a good background , it's homely and a bit messy and busy looking , but that's an interesting modelling related background.

  • just use a sheet hung from jumper cables off the rafters :)

  • Bruce I really like the mess on the bench behind you. I gives you credability and it makes me feel not so bad about my mess in the work area.

  • Perfect timing showing the LiFe tx battery.. Only just today I was trying to source a replacement for my very old 9c battery.

I agree with the comments about not needing a professional studio. Sure it's nice seeing professional videos, but watching you is a breath of fresh air. Real surroundings and a real fellow. Most people fail when they try this sort of environment with crappy audio and bad lighting...but your videos tick all the right boxes!

  • Can't wait for the glue review. Good idea. I am still waiting for my Fun Fighters from Hobbyking to come to Los Angeles. Its been over 21 days now. Maybe next month it will arrive on my doorstep.

  • Also, i can't wait for the Glue/ Epoxy Segment

  • Bruce!! I'm Looking forward to your FPV Videos,.. can't wait :D

  • DLG...???

  • You presented all those items really professional and understandable for people who are not native english speaking like me. I am really interested in the glue comparison because I'm often confused which glue to take for my planes.

Greets from Germany and btw. you got a new subscriber ;)

  • Hi Bruce, you said in your video that you need somewhere to build stuff without clutter so maybe you could build your clean corner for assembly and still do your videos in front of your "mess". I'm sure most of us can relate to a messy model area, i know i can. May i suggest you do a small video and ask for a vote, please let us decide what we would like to see.

  • Everybody seems to have the same opinion, your workshop as a studio is perfectly fine, It shows that you actually do things, as opposed to a spartan studio.

Any way keep the good stuff coming Bruce.

  • good video as always

  • Hehe, i was just about commenting the FPV series....

Don't forget to test to glue on depron.

  • Personally, The workshop works fine for a backdrop to your videos Bruce and keeps it real. A fancy stage is not required unless selling something. It's your content and presentation that keeps us coming back. Take that money and use it for more products or projects to review. Forget the window dressing and Tie. Just clean up the bench a little, comb the hair (joke) and keep doing what you do best... Great reviews.

  • i have to agree with others the back drop is not important.. what i look for is reviews reviews reviews is this stuff any good !!!! that is what we all want to know .we are spending hard earned money .so this stuff is no joke..

  • All good stuff..as ever. I agree much prefer a working workshop enviroment as background. What's the ETA on Rare Bear review Pt2? I'm guessing the weather is a factor (you should come north ;-) ). Thanks for the great videos.

  • I am 9 minutes into your review of reviews and Bruce, you are just talking about the very exciting news of turning my radios into a 16 channel. Now this is fantastic because flying FPV needs the channels.

Regarding your background: Bruce you are wrong!! This is what it is all about. A nice comfortable semi disorder just like at home. Stay where you are. Do not give us that sterile stiff look some other reviewers use. Seperate yourself from that. Now back to the remaining 6 minutes. Rudy

  • Noooooo! Don't do it Bruce - keep it real :-)

  • In other words he wants to expand his # of followers, which is reasonable. And plus it's fun to make things look more 'professional'.

  • Hey Bruce great video. 2 quick questions for you. I am just about to order a Turnigy 9X and the FrSky DIY kit. Should I hold off on the DIY kit untill FrSky release their new product ?......and secondly, have you tried the FrSky 5db antenna yet to see what the advantages are of usin this with tyhe DIY kit ?

Keep up the great videos, and I also agree with the others, the current backdrop is just fine !!

Good luck for the rugby tomorrow !!

  • @Amwaj01 i would like the know the same please :)

  • Another great review thanks. Really looking forward to the reviews about the basic FPV systems.

  • absolutely cool backgroung, the real thing..

  • I agree with Skydive4ever. Leave the clutter.

  • Very informative video. Looking forward to your review on the mini FPV equipment. Appreciate your great work.

  • No, I like the mess, it gives us something else to focus on, if you have no backdrop scene, we`ll have to focus our attention on your face, dang!! ;-)

(Just kidding, some good old fashioned flying field ribbing, but really, keep the background)

Looking forward to your upcoming vids :-)

  • I have flown about a 100 flights on my 46 size high wing glow trainer (my first plane ever)( seagull arising star) and am very happy with seagull arfs. Now, I want to move on to a low wing plane. Is the super sports 40 a good plane to have as a second plane or should I stick to seagull low wing 40, which many people have at my field?

P.S. Keep the background. AXNs and pulsejets are not "mess". Good job and keep the videos coming.

  • where did you mget the smoke thing ?

  • Keep the background as it is, much better than a boring 'studio' look. I like seeing all the stuff on the bench. Just what a workshop should look like. Put more stuff in the background!

  • Bruce, I agree with others. I like the man of the people studio feel. It is what got me to start watching in the first place. You come off more impartial if that is at all possible. Thanks for the reviews.

  • I also like the real workshop behind you. Maybe some new cabinets or something would be nice. But this is how we all live/work. :)

  • NO, no, no Bruce! Don't step away from us common folk and build a "Studio"! I like knowing I'm not the only one who's bench looks like yours. lol. Keep 'em coming just as they are..PLEASE ! Really looking forward to the glue comparison too!

  • Hopefully the A9 review is first up. Feels like years we've been waiting, even though I know it hasn't been that long.

  • woo hoo glues!! Thanks Bruce! Yellowirenut

  • I like that mess this is your spatiality

  • i prefer the mess :D

  • I've. seen his studio... trust me he needs an upgrade... it's. just a half round corrugated steel aircraft hanger, in full summer heat very hot and freezing in winter. by the way Bruce how is the Corona fhss telemetry review coming along?

  • I also like your current backdrop. Great vid as usual Bruce, thanks!

  • Bruce please throw in Hot Glue on your testing

  • i agree with the others mate you don't need a fancy studio.

  • Bruce can you please PM with details of where you got your smoke cannister please? Thats exactly what I am looking for

  • @jchelm1979

    Me too.

  • The background is fine ! Better than Greenscreen + a fake landscape etc..

  • Yeah Bruce dont waste money on Professional Studio, your followers watch for the HONEST Bare Fact Reviews on Products, and there,s nothing wrong with seeing whats in the Backdrop at your workshop, better that than Blue/Green Screens

  • I like all the info and how quickly you respond to questions. Enjoy your videos

  • I love the bench behind you

  • Bruce you background is fine, more then fine actually.

Looking forward for more videos, thank you.

  • Like seeing the background the way it is.

Too many "blue screen, green screen" R/C television programs around all ready.

This is nice and natural to see .................... :-)

  • Bruce, great info as usual. Personally, I like the current backdrop to your videos. It is realistic, not "sanitized" like so many other review channels where you know the backdrop is not real, and neither is the information.

  • nonono, I like the videos the way they look. Don't jump on the greenscreen, black cloth train.

    That's my two cents :-)

  • So glad to see the "Not so weekly news"! Everytime!
