Never heard of them but then not quite my "Genre" LOL. I did give a listen and there are some similarities but some real differences. When you think there are 8 main notes in a scale, there are a lot of songs that sound similiar.

I think a church group I was playing with at the time came up with it. Your right it does fit and does leave it more positive.

I have an electric Vorson VLP-350 (standard les Paul shape). I'm quite pleased the way it sounds but if you have any suggestions about what set of strings might be best to use and what better pickups should I try, please let me know. Thanks again!!!

Not familiar with that guitar so I don't know. I always use Elixar strings for everything. They are more expensive but do not rust and stay sounding great about 10 times longer than regular strings.

great stuff Buck! always loved this version from Dave van Ronk to Bob Dylan to the Animals and beyond! apparently Woody Guthrie was one of the first to commercially popularize this song (though that's only what I've read)
