  • Whites can also claim for Africa as every single human being in Earth has its roots there.

  • @musicarocklomejor Anybody can claim any part on world.

  • Yea Lawd!

  • Real talk

  • I love how this song is leading to a fight, talk about getting the point!

  • @pjklondon how can you say africans from the west can't claim Africa as their motherland? Do you know how stupid that makes you sound? Of course they can claim it as their motherland, they were ORIGINALLY from there. Africa belongs to them as well as all black people around the world. You are white it does not belong to you. Unless your ancestors were all from there.

  • can't it belong to all of us?

  • What's the deal with African people of western descent claiming Africa as THEIR motherland? I'm White and it's mine too. I don't claim anything in Africa belongs to me personally, it doesn't belong to anyone.

  • @pjklondon AFRICA BELONGS TO EVERYONE YOU ARE RIGHT AFTER WE ALL descended from there..

  • I love. This song. And sucks. I know. I dont make Seans but who care

  • I love this song! If we all come together in service and support of one another, recognizing that we are one as a human family, we can change the world for the better.

  • this song is powerful, the album is a masterpiece

  • What's a tree without roots? Our history didn't start with slavery. The modern, extreme and worsening plight of Africa only started in the 1500s. Africa was strong and famously rich before then. West Africa funded the Renaissance. Know your ancient roots and how important you really have been to the world, and thank God for these brothas sparking minds and helping people realize this almost-lost past.

    WAKE UP, AFRICA!!!

  • Africans didnt get their lesson sadly-from an Arabic-skined Arabic point of view->> be occupied, turn christs, sing for the church and then someone can help! every idiot here think past never repeats! a singer is just a singer nothing more

  • "Now can we all pray Each in his own way Teaching and Learning And we can work it out

We'll have a warm bed We'll have some warm bread And shelter from the storm dread And we can work it out

Mother Nature feeds all In famine and drought Tell those selfish in ways Not to share us out What's a tree without root? Lion without tooth? A lie without truth? you hear me out?" - damian marley. i have no words to describe this song. :D

  • MY SOUL OVERFLOWS WITH LOVE AND HAPPINESS WHEN I THINK OF WHAT IT'S GOING TO BE LIKE WHEN ALL MY AFRICAN PEOPLE....WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT WE ARE HIS CHOSEN

  • Only song better than this is " GET BOUNCING ON " by Kayos

  • I may be a white boy but I respect all of Africa and the fact that we are all the same person, I wish some horrible people could open there eyes to the true meening to life we are all borthers and sisters.

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss it ain't about black or white anymore

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss thank you thank you, those horrible people dnt like us for watevea reason, i dnt know y they have so much hatred against us and hide our history, They are enemies of the truth and i dnt get y, we are all one, there's one race, the human race

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss Thank you man. Thats what gets me about so many African-Americans wanna distance themselves from African roots and don't consider themselves African for various of reasons and it's retarded. It's like they forgot we brought here on boats. The black race didn't start in these western countries. They need to stop being so ignorant and embrace their culture. You see all these other cultures embracing it and African-Americans really don't. I wish this song could reach to everybody

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss yes brother thats Rasta Livity. ONE LOVE, ONE PEOPLE.

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss one ppl different colors. you are not just a "whiteboy" but also your are a distant relative of mine!:)

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss true that you are my brother

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss

    Same for me ! =)

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss Your heart is true!

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss Oh yeah!! Great comment. That is how it should be. Peace to all races.

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss What has "white" got to do with being African? White, black, pink, purple don't mean shit. If you where born and raised in Africa, you are an African! More than that Africa is in our heats!! Respect from Africa!

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss One love brother, I've got to see you in real life man, your one in a million :)

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss All of Africa? So you respect the warzones, constant genocide, the creation of child soldiers? Africa is a continent that has been doing what they've been for centuries. If people seriously think that music will automatically change the way they operate over there and it's a fools game. They have been killing each other long before we were born and will be long after we're dead. To think any other way is foolish.

  • @RetinueLongbowman Any change worth doing is never going to change overnight, but through collabration of all people it can. That is what hope is all about, this song is about all people being from the same place, brothers and sisters. So if people realize this and stop killing their own families it could happen.

  • @RetinueLongbowman You're completely ignorant of the reality of things in Africa so don't say things without any backing. Child soldiers, genocide, and death have occurred ever since foreigners (ARABS and EUROPEANS) step their destructive foot on the continent. Look at history if you have any sense this destruction did not exist until they came over and claimed shit, took stuff that wasn't theirs and imposed their culture on other people. Read African history prior to their presence.

  • @tdardeni So what you're saying is that there was no such thing called Tribal warfare? Get over yourself, and understand the basics of human nature. Sure things got worse when we white people messed shit up, but don't be arrogant enough to think that everything was peachy and everyone was running through daises before we showed up.. Darwin's theory runs through out human history, I don't need to read anything more about history then I already have to know that EVERYONE is capable of ANYTHING..

  • @RetinueLongbowman Tribal warfare is nothing more similar than to sibling rivalry fighting and exists everywhere but you guys have mastered death and destruction (Guillotines, bombs, chemical warfare, etc and "technology" that has no respect for the environment and pollutes the earth) stuff has gotten a little more than "messed up" when they show up there's genocide, destruction and claim to shit that's not theres. That has been coined a unique practice to no other than them.

  • @Ilikeitlikethiss plus everyone came from Africa

  • Lovin the energy Created... Quantum lyrics!

  • @truthwillmanifest- i completely agree!! - ::)x

  • if africa wakes up africa could be the richest continent

  • Who the fuck are the four tools to give this a thumbs down????> Jeebuz, get a clue peoples...

  • im african and man people make funny of me calling me african botty scratcher

  • @KidFresh098 I remember growing up being called that. I replied with American ass kisser.

  • ...So conscious; these two brothers are very insightful & profound...this album may be the masterpiece the conscious minded have been anticipating.

  • Something legandry about Nas

  • Amazing!

I´ve got no words to say how much I love the song...

  • GOD BLESS AFRICA.

  • "The United States Must Wake Up". Africa is AWAKE to a degree, meaning, there are uprising's against CORRUPTION all the time in AFRICA. In the "United States", MOST people NEVER say NUTHIN' and are SHEEPLE TO THE SLAUGHTER. WE ALL MUST WAKE UP and QUESTION EVERYTHING. Peace!

  • @TheAnthony1211 Wow thts really deep man

  • @TheAnthony1211 Wow thts really deep man........

  • Bearadrina I dont understand how Damian is a faker if he sings about Africa. His entire religion is African based. Yes I know rappers all talk about Africa this and Africa that. but for one some mean Africa as in its people and its descendants. And Yes Damian is only a quarter black but if he is asked what his ethnicity is in lets say a college application wat do u think is will be his response? balck or white. Either way it doesnt matter damian is rastafarian so he can talk about africa.

  • Nice Message, and they mentioned my country, :) Awesome CD For Sure,

  • lmao ppl yall aint forreal right...nigggas juss talkin out they ass...... its going to take more then music to wake africa.... thats why at the end of the day this money made from this CD is going to go to some rich mother fucker that dont give shit bout africa and its struggle... if nigggas was foreal they would be in africa telling this to the ppl of africa.....nah mean.... one love to nas and damian but let me see u doing something for africa rather then hear u juss talk bout it nah mean

  • @ayboidoc you want to see them do something 4 africa??? theyve jst released a whole album to speak to the world about africa.nd jst bcoz u dont knw of anything the do dont mean they dont do.do u c what i mean???

  • i tell u boy... Nas n JR this jus had to happen, best of both worlds

  • its so funny how rappers and rasta men talk about Africa...but they never go and have never gone! They love Africa but live in Beverly Hills...yeah right....I hate fakers

  • @bearadina I personally know alot of rastas and rappers that have visited and live in africa and don't live in beverly hills ... at least they're speaking about the glory of the mother land... it doesnt matter if the go or not to simply raise awareness is more than just leaving comments online talking about what they hate...

  • @EmpSage I was speaking directly about Nas and Damian....and its funny why Damian would be talking of Africa homeland when he is 1/4 black and 3/4 white...yes Bob was 1/2white 1/2 black.....Damian mother was white so what does that make Damian.....a faker just maybe!!!!

  • @bearadina lol it doesnt matter, all human existence comes from africa anyway so theres nothing to fake about, their speaking about EVERYONES home land not just one race

  • @ss6truks you are correct about human existence, however America is my homeland. My original comment was made about fake Reggae and Rap artists speaking about Africa when they have never gone there before. In the late 80's I went to Senegal W.Africa. It is a beautiful land with beautiful people. These people didn't sing about African homeland stuff, the Senegali's sang about love and life in general and they were actually from Africa. Its like us singing all day long about America homeland

  • @bearadina Yes but you dont have to go there to realize how beautiful a place is, I havent been to the moon but I can sing of its shining beauty, I havent been to Japan but I can sing about its beautiful plains and countryside, it doesnt really make a bit of difference if you've been there or not, it only matters if you have a real message and you spread it

  • @bearadina I see alot of "facts" but you sadly dont get the point of the song. A white guy can be singing this, who cares its about AFRICA not about "hey look at me I care about africa so buy my album" believe it or not there are people that actually care about Mother Africa.

  • @bearadina How do you know they've never been or have any knowledge about our ancestory? Do you know them personally?

  • @masbo do you know about your ancestors? What do you really know about what happened in your family tree 200 yrs ago? And does it even matter in the scheme of things ? How does it effect your life today? It doesn't.....unless you let the past just way you down, and use it like an excuse for not doing better. I do know about Africa, its beautiful!! I imagine heaven must look alot like Africa!

  • Weezie in dz kinda song wld mk it SUPER DOPE cuz its alredi DOPE

  • africa must wake up, yes

  • The best pair of artist ever.

  • WAKE UP WORLD

  • Give props to the K'naan. He awakening the African message even though he many years removed. As most North American blacks are. You wanna talk about it, live it. Picture what your forefathers went through, and what is perpitrated on the regular in the name of color. We all bleed red, and so far removed from Africa as Americans are to the English.

  • @dgrandz ur missin the message of this album man...its that wer all from africa...no matter what skin color or religion...WE ARE ALL DISTANT RELATIVES

  • One of the albums to get in 2010. Please buy legally good music. No Limewire or other bootlegs. I love my country ( Ghana) but Africa on the whole must step up. Eff Mugabe and the rest of their ilk. One love.

  • @ joshprice - you are really ignorant... I suggest you do some research before you make such a stupid statement......

  • @23bexxx IF YOU LOVE POETRY YOU WILL YOU WILL LOVE THIS POEM. Search"IS the Cross Christian" It will blow your mind!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are Deep!!!!!!!!!!

  • white people arnt black and never will be they are not from africa so are those damn arabs

  • @joshprice1000 all people trace back to africa. Also to sound stupid saying arabs are not from africa. The majority of arabs live in africa.

  • @whothaplaya those arabs invaded us and white people dont trace back to africa ether

  • @joshprice1000 man r u from africa? my guess is no u proboly grew up in america n if ur parents didnt grow up in africa then u rnt african. u r just american u ignorant piece of shit

  • @philleroledtite that makes no sense

  • @philleroledtite im not realated to white people. Black people and white people are different.

  • This song is touching.I'm feeling the whole album.Does anyone know the sample used in this song? the baseline was used before I can remember which song though

  • Big Love To Africa

  • i'm seriously not sure about waynes verse. Damian marley and nas are rude- damian marley smashes these tunes

  • ow can we all pray? Each in his own way, Teaching and learning, We can work it out We'll have a warm bed, We'll have some warm bread, Shelter from the storm dread, And we can work it out Mother nature feeds all, In farming and drought And though selfish in ways, not to share is out What's a tree without root? Lion without tooth? A lie without truth?
  • I heard this album comes out this month on the 18th or something! is that true?

  • @theking121696 indeed it does come out tomorrow

    Di-mond EA Rec.ENT

  • Great song really like the guitar solo! Definitely getting this album when it drops...peace and love from NY!

  • You spelled Damian wrong in the video title.

  • ; )

  • one love

  • Jah know a man heart. Him never judge by simply lookin at a man. Each man is judged by his actions and the inclination of the heart. As easy as it is to see the straw in our brothers eyes, it harder for us individually to see the rafter in our own eyes! Adam and Eve were our parents. Through the eight souls Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth(and their wives) the nations of this world were scattered. Only at Babylon did man lose their way. We all came from that family that survived the Deluge. Greatune!

  • i truly wish there was a next bob marley to save us thru his music but if we are lookin to jr gong for it then we in for a big disapointment! jr. gong is difrent n we shud respect that, but has time goes by we wil c if he is 4real r he is bcomin another puppet 4the system he talks about so vehemently, the truth is u cant 100% go agens the system which control the industry u work in,u av2 let them twist u els tht cud get u killed like bob marley, micheal jackson n so many other musical prophets

  • this is going to be so big

  • i feel u truth. but babylon is fallin an das all i want.

God Is Truth dont believe anything you read till you go thru yourself even what I say maybe then you can comprehend a small amount of the whole Truth because I know i dont know anything and thats where the learning begins.

Damian jus gave into da system of babylon.the industry used to leave real music out there but now they want to put their message in my ear just like how they changed what the bible says.

    Babylon Is Falling.One Love

  • Are you guys serious lil' Wayne will be on this album. That made my stomach turn the wrong way. Wanted it to be only Nas and Damien marley period. Don't get worked up people Lil' Wayne does not deserve to be on possible classic material :)

  • @Wilzehagawa i feel i cant stand lil wayne but the song hes on its nas damiam wayne and joss stone and wayne actuallly raps about somethin real its a dope ass track

  • 1:55-200 min. in to song is damian saying "mother nature feeds all, they found an angel it's selfeshiness ways not to share s sound?

  • this is that REAL TALK.

  • Hey TRUTHWILLMANIFEST go to hell and maybe there you will find satan and share your thoughts with him.
