i also saw malcom sing this live in the twilight of his career i asked him for a signed photo for my mum (i was 19) he very obliging did so --- i never told him it was for myself i thought he was still the tops
RIP Malcolm. Wonderful to find this recording of you. I only knew you for a few short years but you left a lasting impression A true gentleman. I feel blessed to have known you.
I have been singing this song when I was a little girl, and until now after more than 40 years ago, and never heard the songs for more than a decade, the lyrics still comes to me when I start singing after hearing it as of today. This is one of my favorite of all time. Thanks God to UT, we can still hear the most beautiful songs that ever made in the planet.
I was lucky enough to see and hear this sung live by Mr Vaughan, late in his career, in a club in my home town, from that moment on it was and still is my all time favourite song, at the time he was older and his voice was a little richer, but this song and this man singing it will remain with me all the days of my life.
till i heard this julie rogers version was my favorite-now it's malcolm vaughn.
