Senator Merkley Discusses Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)

These things are not true. Discromination is rampent here in Oregon. I have been out of work for over a year and been to many agencies and employers and have a 5 year degree and 18 years of solid job experience and cannot get a job ANYWHERE.

No one will hire me for something that is not my falt and that I did not even do. These places know that you need 50-75 people to say that is what happened to you and discrimination is non-provable and you cannot prove that is what happened to you by them.

Is that a tele-prompter I see glowing in your eyes? You never really addressed what exactly the bill your proposing is. Obviously all people deserve equal opportunity for employment, however reverse discrimination is rampant so employers can satisfy your equal opportunity guidelines. Highly qualified individuals are often ignored so more diverse personnel can fill the position. Where are our equal rights?

@golobayj ENDA is NOT affirmative action for gay people.

ENDA makes it illegal for employers to fire someone for being gay or transgendered.
