  • not going to lie when you tiped over the rock i jumped lol

  • in my country. there is no spider like that

  • when you first pulled your hand back i thought somthing bit you

  • where are good places to go tarantule or scorpion hunting

  • in places with water... but not in areas that get submerged regularly.

if you are interested in bug hunting i would join bug forums and try to find people that are close to you to give you some pointers

  • are you goin to keep it as a pet? thats what i would do :)

  • yes, i kept it. i want to figure out what species it is. i now know that it is in the Aptostichus genus... but there are like 7 described and at least as many undescribed species known to california

  • i thought trap doors are poisonous

doesnt kill but hurts like no other

  • i have been bit by one USA species and it didn't hurt beyond getting fangs in me. most USA species do not have very powereful venom against humans

HOWEVER!!!! various trapdoor and related spiders in other countries can be VERY venomous to humans! the Sydney Funnelweb spider is a relative of trapdoor spiders and i can easily kill people if they don't get medical assistance

    thanks for watching :)

  • whoa kool!, i love it ! omg ur laugh scared me XD!
