  • I love the slash. I was looking on youtube for a decent race. I want to match my stampede up to them on the track :P

  • I came across this video and thought you would like this video.

  • 0:41 they were trying to make 1/16th scale slashes

  • Stock brushed? i have a 2wd brushed slash tht ive broken in and race tuned the suspension has the greg adler body and bfg tires rungs great i was wondering are there sanctioned bodies for stock slashs? im 14 so i dont have the money to go all out just have some fun for now

  • how can you tell which car is yours

  • 0:30 dance boy

  • fast but to many jumps

  • Wow, im in a youtube video lol

  • Tell your marshals to stop jumping up and down!

That tree is gonna be pretty stupid once the roots take over your track

  • 0:30 twinkletoes

  • wow i swear iowa is the state of racing the only way id every move back to iowa is for racing but anyways were is this track at

  • @pimpdawg7 Hobby Haven isocated in Urbandale, IA. Currently there are 18 rc tracks that hold organized racing, and of course Iowa is #1 for 1:1 scale dirt track racing.

  • This is one of the most realistic short course tracks i've seen in R/C. More jumps would ruin it.

  • cool track. check out my slash vids.

  • stupid random tree in the middle of the track

  • whats better for racing? traxxas slash 2x4 or 4x4

  • @JuniorPros118 Well they both can be raced, but I think you need to figure out if you want to race 2wd or 4wd 1st.

  • @JuniorPros118 it depends if you want speed 2x4 traction 4x4

  • thats some clean racing there can't wait to get the rustler that i jus ordered

  • nice vid

  • Nice vid but you need some bigger jumps on that track

  • @mrbraunfulo1 Check out some of our newer videos, the track has bigger jumps now.

  • @iowarctracks ya i saw some of those they look much better now and im kinda bein a hypocrite soon i will have vids of my crapy bashing rc "course"

  • ahahah dumb kid at 1:19 i would have pissed myself if he fell. :0

  • would you say that the 2wd traxxas slash is worth the $225 that it costs?

  • @baconbits12321 Sure.

  • awsome vid!!!!

  • @ducttaperules1 Thanks. This is back when these were 1st available at the store and racing was as stock as you can get. Made you feel like a kid again. :)

  • Hobby Haven in Urbandale, IA. Just google Hobby Haven and you will find their website. You can chat about the track on iowarctracks. com

  • where is that course?

  • This is fun to watch. All the beeping noise sounds like the front of Walmart. he he

  • Depends, what truck are you going to race, the Traxxas Slash?

  • o alright, ic, Im lookin at racing in a couple weeks at a local track. Anybody have any tips or tricks with settin it up? or spings ?

  • anybody know of any tire prep people use for racin these ?

  • @jlsracer8 Not sure, we don't uyse or allow tire dope for this class.

  • Whats the difference between RTR and BND?

  • A BND is a term used by Losi which means Bind N Drive. It means their car comes with a Spektrum receiver so if you already have a Spektrum radio you can bind the radio to the new car and it is ready to go. RTR is short for Ready To Run and and usually means all you need are batteries for your radio, car, and a charger. Traxxas actually gives you a car battery and wall charger with some cars so all you need is the AA's for the radio.

  • so i would have to buy a battery 4 the car 4 RTR but not with BND?

  • No. Losi doesn't include a battery with their BND cars. And most RTR cars don't either. Only recently Traxxas has begun to include a cheap NiMh pack with some of their RTR cars.

  • Hey, im wondering if you guys know any info on seting up these trucks. I just bought one and I will be racing it this weekend. Any tips on making it handle better or more speed for certain cituations ?

    thanks

  • 2wd are more fun for me. 4x4 is too easy.

  • It looks extremely funny! If I'm not wrong those slashes are 2wd brushed. They seem very fast btw. Thx for sharing.

  • Yes they are brushed.

  • is spec class stock or what??

  • This class was RTR spec only. You can only change RX and TX and are limited to certain battery packs.

  • Stop jumping morons, you might land on a truck!

  • looks funny!! ;-)

  • 0:41 doggy style

  • at 0:27 i felt bad for the driver! he might have passed the guy in front of him up

  • already hap-pened

  • which one??

SC8e is more of a conversion.Slayers are nitro and are not being offered as a electric from Traxxas.

  • Slash & erevo 1/16 are 4wd. If you want "real" 4wd you might have to look into b44 though. The OFNA short course will be 4wd, it's a 1/10. Or look into nitro, but I'm not a nitro guy.

  • want real 4wd, drive my jeep........

  • i agree i really like how the new slayer is 4wd. and it seems more "race" i really want to get a slash because it seems like thats where racing is going. (im an old 2wd stock racer) but the short course trucks sure look fun. i think the reason they remain 2wd is to keep the price of the hobby down and to get more people involved at a reasonable price

  • @DARKSCOPE001 slayer has always been 4wd lol,and the main reason they made it 2wd was because 1, it is cheaper, 2 it takes a little more skill to use then 4wd, and 3 all traxxas electrics are 2wd.

  • Awesome. I went there on vacation and ran on this track

  • Where is this track?? It looks fun.

  • It is Hobby Haven in Urbandale, IA. Just google the name and you'll find their website.

  • I remember back in the 90's when Traxxas was basically only for bashers, they have realy come a long way, I have 6 Revo's back in the day I would never have thought that I would be buying Traxxas cars for anything but screwing around

I love this Slash spec class, everyone can get into the action without high end parts and the cost that goes with them, for under 5 bills anyone can be very competitive and have a good time...kind of what RC racing is all about

  • Agreed, and you really don't even have to spend over $250 unless you want to.

  • true, and the best r/c's are the cheaper ones.

  • how can they have such a big range with such a small antenne?

  • Most guys were running after market DSM systems since that was allowed for this class.

  • ooh ok thanx... im hoping in a couple of months ima get a brushless motor with a 7 cell battrey...lol but kool

  • aaah i want mine to as fast as those...those seem faster r they stock...!?!?!?!please reply...

  • They are stock motor and electronics. Most guys either ran a 2 cell lipo or a 7 cell Nimh pack.

  • you might have it on training mode

  • noo

  • im getting one soon

  • Is this the only rc track in iowa

  • Ha-ha no but it is the one I race at the most. Currently we have 16 organized tracks in Iowa. Check out the website for more tracks.

  • ohh yeah cheatin do it all of the time with my slash i couldn't make the tripple so i put in my mamba set up and raced it i used the 4600kv motor not my 7700 and i put bigbore shocks off of a 1/8 buggy now i am sending my mamba system back to castle for replacement don't buy their 1/10 scale systems they suck ass fun while they work which is less tha half time check out my vids

  • were they all stock because some of them seemed like they had VXL's in them...

  • Yes they were all out of the box stock. Some guys ran 2 cell Lipos and other ran 7 cell NiMH packs. Most guys bought their truck right before they hit the track.

  • thats pretty awesome! i have a vxl an 8 cell 3800maH pack and some of them seemed to drive as quick as mine...hehe

  • I picked one of these up and raced it fo the 1st time last week. Definately didn't seem as fast as these trucks. Maybe these guys were cheating already? ;)

  • is it a nice truck though im looking for a track truck and a just drive it around outside truck

  • yes it is a very nice truck...the suspension, motor, and components of the vehicle are great right out of the box...i definitely suggest this truck!

  • What is VXL?

  • It's the name of the Traxxas brushless system.

  • this looks like mad fun, what a turn out to race these trucks! I'm going to have to purchase one.

  • This was the 1st week we ran them so it was a controlled chaos. :)

  • what kind of battery you using?ASWR me back!

  • If you are referring the Slashes I think guys were running a mix of Trinity LiPro 4500s or NiMh 4200 6 cell packs.

  • ? this track is located in ......

  • The track is located in Urbandale, IA.

  • The kid at the end of the straight, would piss me off. I had a kid jumping like that and smashed my truck. I was so pissed off.

  • That kid was actually the turn marshall trying to fix the Slashes as they rolled over.

But yes I would agree that would suck if he landed on one.

  • great vid im am looking to get a slash and you just sold me !!!!

  • Heck yeah!!! I purchased one about a month back.... they are the most fun rc truck I have owned!!!

  • cool

  • i would paint mine bright yellow so i no which one is mine. lol

  • Now that looked like some fun racing.

  • All they are ariginal right???

  • I think you are asking all they all original or stock? If so then the answer is yes.

  • o ok and thnks for replying

  • where is this at like state and county plz comment

  • The state is Iowa. The county is Polk County.

  • OMG I wish I would have seen this video before buying my B44 !

  • Dude, the B44 isn't a bad car either. Hell given the choice between the slash and a B44, i'd go with the B44 anyday, but only if it was free :D

  • that is one of the best racing videos i've seen! that looks like so much fun.. about time there was a cheap class to run.i hope they keep it mostly stock. maybe let you run 2-cell lipo's so you can have longer races. wish we had slash class here in Alabama !!

  • Yes they have spec rules so the only thing you can is the radio and shock fluid. But for batteries you can run a 2 cell LiPo with 20C or a 7 cell Nimh pack.

  • The Slash is a fun truck to drive and if you run a spec class they can be competitive too.

  • i love the slash i bought one the other day and a e-revo omg!!!!

  • i got an e-revo and i about to get the slash is it any good?

  • They all look the same. Very confusing, especially after a pile up. Are custom painted shells allowed at slash races?

  • Yes. At the time no one had them in stock. In later videos you will see people start to race them and they have custom painted bodies.

  • gotta love them turn marshall's hu?

  • i bought a B4rs here. it roks

  • This is the biggest Slash race I have ever seen, it is hilarious to see that many Slashes in one place at a time.

  • like the video i think it is the best slash racing on youtube.

  • Thanks. I think the best thing is the start down the straight and then the pileup by the tree. I think this is the biggest turnout we have had for the Slash class ever too.

  • I agree

  • This is very cool video, where is this track located? I just bought my Slash last week and it is lots of fun.

  • This track is at Hobby Haven in Urbandale, IA.

  • That looks like some of the funnest racing i have seen. You guys rock...

  • Very nice, I am glad the slash is catching like it is. I may buy one...but I want the E-Revo too. Little tip, tracks are way more fun when you enter a trun at high speed, makes for more tail sliding action like the slash is meant for. So less tiny tunrs right after each other, and more long, curving turns out of straigh aways. Good job though, I am subscribing.

  • will this slash to add 4X4 wheel drive

  • thay are comeing out with a 4 wheel drive nitro virson called the slayer =] i already put my name on the list at my hobby shop for one.

  • i wish we had racing here in central wisconsin, i have a slash too and they are the most fun thing i have ever driven. nice vid.

  • not to mean traxxas but your slash has the worst handling

  • This class runs all stock equipment except for the radio and reciever to avoid frequency conlficts. For battery packs they are allowing 6 or 7 cell Nimh pack or a 2 cell Lipo battery no more than 20C. Capacity does not matter.

  • whqat kind of motors are you guys using?

  • xl-5 or brushless

  • prolly xl5 on 7 cells

  • WAY awesome!!! Hoping for something like this here in Houston!

  • Des Moines... at the Hobby Haven track

  • Turn marshalls as targets!!! priceless!

  • where are you guys located? my dad lives up in iowa
