I'm a die hard frusciante fan, but even i think that One Hot Minute is a killer album, i love it. This ain't the Chili Peppers. The real Chili Peppers is 4 guys on stage, rocking the fuck out, without background singers, backup guitars, etc. There's no need for that. Dave Navarro is the bomb, but imho he didn't really fit the Chili Peppers. Don't get me wrong, One Hot Minute is an amazing record, but nowhere near the caliber that any RHCP album with Frusciante was. And by the way, I completely fucking love the feeling they put into this performance :D 4:04

John Frusciante was so far gone on drugs that he left the band, Dave Navarro tried taking John's place in the band. Dave Navarro was a warped replacement for John Frusciante. They were all messed up on drugs, and Anthony Kiedis goes on during a live performance on TV and starts singing way off tune.

MTV did not make him famous. They had a strong following way before MTV started playing their songs. MTV didn't accept them for quite some time. Anthony's voice is flawless in a ton of songs. He has an unforgettable voice and the way he used to slur some of his words. He is amazing, regardless of shit MTV.

I'm just saying that he's good and was well-loved back before hitting commercial success in 1991.
