When the horse chews them, they swallow the eggs, which attach in the INTESTINES. The pictures they are showing are either post-mortem or are from a camera inserted into the horse. Horses can easily die from infestations. A true horseman removes the botfly eggs every single day during Botfly season. Living in California, they can get pretty thick. It's easy n cheap
These things are so awful. I have to check my horse for the eggs all the time. The eggs are itchy, and when the horse scratches them (usually with the teeth), the saliva causes them to open, then they wreak havoc. Awful little buggers. I think parasites are kinda cool, personally, but these things... I hate them.
hown did you get all those bot flies in one area. what were they eating onfor that picture and you should clean those eggs when they are coming on the hours
