@The666Hate I agree with you on that... but it just seems like an anti-climax when it comes to their style changing from album to album. the first album (Mate, feed, kill, repeat) was more funk... thus nobody knows about it. and was ok/decent.

Then they become hardcore and more hardcore (Iowa), which I like/approve of... then all of a sudden they become softcore... I portray them as a hardcore group... it just disappoints me, because of this changes.

@mantronik2010 Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat was a demo CD for label companies, radio, hand out to people after a gig (only 1000 copies made), not a real CD - why no one really knew about it. And about Iowa to Sub. Albums, it went from around Nu-Metal to more like heavy metal. But gotta admit.

Slipknot atleast has the balls to send out soft emotional songs after being known as hardcore shit. + They just do songs they feel liek & don't care what others say about it. Haha

Reasonable enough. I'm not a troll just going on videos to say they suck. A buddy of mine told me this used to be his favorite song and so I listened to it to see what kind of music he used to be into.

I don't like slipknot generally at all, so that's a factor.

I don't like the intro, and by intro I mean essentially the first 3 minutes. I don't mind slow, but this has nothing going on. It's dull. Doesn't grab my attention. (cont.)

Also, when it does pick up, it really doesn't get like...that heavy. With a beginning like that I was at least expecting something epic to happen, but the only real "epic" and "heavy" part that happens 9 and a half fucking minutes into a song. That's far too long to wait for a metal song to get...metal. I don't mind long, non-metal songs (like some Opeth songs), but this one is clearly designed to be heavy, and thus fails to deliver. Oh, and I hate the lyrics. A lot.

As a writer myself, something I think I'm at least proficient at doing, the lyrics just don't appeal to me. It sort of takes the thing I hate most about heavy music, almost trying to sound "scary" and "evil", and combines it with what looks like a failed attempt at creating abstract lyrics. I just feel like they're too stuck in the "let's be scary" mindset to allow for any expansion on the actual intellectual potential they have. The lyrics are...immature, in a sense.
