I've found out what the symbols on the TV set mean. They're the 7 magical sigils of the Olympian Spirits. In this order: 1) Phaleg, ruler of Mars 2) Bethor, ruler of Jupiter 3) Hagith, ruler of Venus 4) Phul, ruler of Luna (the moon) 5) Ophiel, ruler of Mercury 6) Phaleg again, different variation of his sigil 7) Ophiel again 8) Och, ruler of Sol (the sun) -- or atleast I think it's Och. Since no graphical symbol was provided, I simply guessed. Source: Wikipedia on "Arbatel de Magia Veterum".

you know, i've noticed something. the escort missions are only used in games 2, 4, homecoming, and shattered memories(mabye?). i never noticed that till now. i wonder why that is?

@TheEdward4ever im guessing because those aren't really into the main story line of Silent Hill, more like Side stories(don't get me wrong, SH2 was amazing). I'm just guessing since most horror stories are about the Hero going against all odds by themselves to live, makes since that the original hero, and the daughter of the original hero on the series are almost entirely by themselves in the games. Of course its just my opinion.

@ferretyluv: Because this way, monsters can comes up through the floor and eat your head. And also: It's easier to clean. I mean, with all the blood that will be shed, much easier to let it just flow through the floor. Just don't question what's underneath the grating.
