  • "Love will have you nervous, doing stupid shit on purpose"....So true!

  • Still listening to this in 2012!.

  • *fervently* tryin to gap an unfillable void

  • Better then the remix

  • *Knowing that I'll never learn to break the waves if i stand by the docks"

What the hell is brave the wave lol

  • @Cromage16 No...it's "brave the waves".... you really don't know the term "to brave" something?

  • @AEgamesFtw Unfortunatley i do not, but I wouldnt mind learning if ya dont mind explaining, ha i googled the phrase but it just fixed it to crave instead of brave

  • @Cromage16 I.E: Let's say someone was lost in the ocean and you were going to rescue them in your ship but then a massive storm started with dangerous waves. To brave the waves would be to go in anyway and try to find him in the storm, despite the dangers.

It's also used metaphorically. I.E: you're captain of your ship of life and sometimes the waters aren't easy. You need to stay on the ship and brave the waves.

  • oh my mutha fuckin holy buda jesus allah cows cats and damned mormans at my door step was that song off the hook? yep.

  • Wow. Tonedeff is just..... Wow.

  • damn this song is speakin to my feelings right now

  • I can get SOS' and Kno's part, but Tonedeff is far too fast :(

  • @iiorpheus sos isn't on the song, thats deacon the villain

  • @lucky806 He's cut out, he's in the remix though. Either way, that was my mistake haha.

  • @iiorpheus ha i didn't even know sos was on the remix i just assumed the remix was just the different beat,so thanks for that.

  • I think i'm going to sing this at school xD

  • i got a 10 euro bet with someone if i can rap this flawless:P

  • Has anyone ever noticed that tonedeff is one of the few rappers that rap fast, and actually say something useful... First time i heard this song; wow, he's pretty good. second time: O.O... deleting my old songs to make room for some real music!

  • @TheFoardNation it's the best I've ever heard (tonedeffs verse). I just can't keep up and the rhyme scheme and lyrics are incredible too

  • "It's sad, but proud or not, most your standards go down a notch// When loneliness drinks at the bar you've set too high//"

    DAMN!

  • @XanderBBo I KNOW!!!!! crazy good stuff

  • "Love ain't the basis for action in a nation of addicts pacing and waiting for seconds of satisfaction. Where the word itself is only fashioned in fits of passion hand in hand with animalistic orgasmic reaction. And the past isn't felt as a match made in hell, but rather it's held as a latter day meld. Of common mistakes and nice intentions, but when false love retention is simply vice invention." The most real verse in any song i've ever heard. Most seek pleasure, and mistake it as love.

  • lyrical genius, nuff said.

  • 5 people are virgins

  • @AmplectiMutatio <---and one person must be retarded.---

  • tonedeff kills this so fucking hard

  • 0:26-1:28 best part nbd

  • @hockeybeast011

EXACTLY!!! So fast is this his only verse in this song

  • best part 0:00 - 4:01

  • Intro is dope, but he killed it with that beat

  • "the truth isnt as eloquent so be intelligent, gettin caught out of your element just for the hell of its irrelevant" damn

  • this is such true poetry it brings real emotion.

  • wats the beginnning from

  • @pterodactylparadise blood sweat & tears, i love you more than you'll ever know

  • I love this. No group/person has ever been able to describe love in the way this has been done. It's honest and brutal and one of the most brilliant collabs I've ever heard.

  • Kno and Tonedeff together is one of the best ideas of God so far.

  • @TechniqueK just wait for the album chico and the man to come out i think its release date is dec. 13

  • the lyrics are soo fucking good

  • when the beat kicked in i got butterflysss

  • I attempted to rap Tonedeff's part in the beginning, and I officially give up.

Lol, one day I'll learn it.

  • @TheIndonesiann i tried the same thing.. if my mother language was english i could've, on the sentences ; if nothing you say is embedded with love or somethin like that i just stumble, the rest of the song, i only get short of breath.

    I'm so proud haha

  • @TheIndonesiann I already nailed it ;))

  • @TheIndonesiann I finally learned the whole song and can actually sing along now rather than mumbling/humming!

  • speechless..!!!

  • Wow, the people at Yahoo Answers weren't lying when they said pure gems could be found underground. This is what rap was suppose to be I'm sure of it

  • @rapattacker1 haha yeap the people on Y!A were the ones who introduced me to CL and Tonedeff about 3 years ago.So glad i discovered this music,i needed it.

  • What the name of the part where the woman sings "I love you baby, i love you more than, i had loved you baby" ??

  • who else can drop this word perfect at this or .5 faster?

  • one of crazyest songs i ever heard

  • This is just really, and it goes for both guys and girls.

    This song makes me cryyyyyy!

  • One of the illest flows in hip-hop.

It's on the same level as B.I.G.'s flow.

  • Mutha fn SKILLZ!

  • everyone knows 1st song name???0:00-0:25 ??plzz tell me!!

  • posted on my birthday dope

  • Anyone whos ever ben in love can relate to every word in this song....So ill !!!!!!!!

  • man can anyone tell me the song that they sampled from or what song it is of theirs in the begginning??!!!

  • 0:43-0:48 wtf! sick as verse!

  • I was at a show when they performed this song for the first time....IT WAS FUCKING NUTS..the best show I've ever been to....Nelson BC, Canada....a popualtion of 10,000...now why would they do it at a small town like Nelson?

Because even at an all ages show in tiny venue there was not a person sitting...

search: CunninLynguists - Love Ain't (f/ Tonedeff) [LIVE]

some annoying girls at the front tho...

  • This song hits home..

  • True poetry

  • @11tobiobito fuck yeah haha try showing someone this who loves poetry though but doesn't listen to hip-hop or dislikes hip-hop they won't agree.

  • @Fyre09 Spread the truth brother

  • I can tell you why mainstream music, is the way it is right now. It's us, it's because our generation. The majority of our generation has no pride, in the simplest terms our generation is close minded with no heart. Most of the kids or young adults want to be taken care of so they can go out, party, get high, drink, and hook up and todays music reflects that.

  • @Wik43 im 14 nd i listen all underground it speaks truth and about the real life unlike mainstream music talking about other stuff(cars hoes money cars) That one reason wen ppl say "Drake has Real lyrics nd his music is real/awesome" I tell them "Wow 1st thats not music in my opinion.Nd 2nd Listen to I.T,Cunnilynguist ,Dead Prez ,Mos Def then tell me wethere Drakes lyrics are "Real "."

  • @408Zion Awesome but a 14 year old who spells the word whether "wethere" doesn't really have much say in what is real and what isn't. You don't know shit at 14.

  • @iMdWeLLeR

Ohh wow i spelled one word wrong nd you get all up on my dick!

Haha and at 14 you do know shit actually dummfukk just th eolder you get you know more!

  • @408Zion No point in talking back to you, you're an idiot

  • @iMdWeLLeR

Calm down Mr.Cool Your A Low Life Bro In Yur Video Yuh Try To Seem Koo But You Make Yourself Look The Most Stupidest Fukk Ever Dont Talk Shit To Me You Already Make Your Self Look Bad No Point On You Going And Making It Worse.

  • @408Zion You already looked dumb, i commented what every1 else wanted to comment, and now ur just showing how dumb you are. I can't even read what you're trying to say.

  • @iMdWeLLeR

Apperently yuh talked back to me yuh IDIOT!! Nd you responded to my message so yuh could read it

your a fukken moron just shut the fukk upp you embarassin yourself foo

  • @iMdWeLLeR Not to defend a kid who types like every 9 year old girl has ever, but i doubt that a person who posts videos of themself playing video games really has much say in what is real and what isn't either. I'm not defending him, but don't try to seem all high and mighty yourself. Also from the people I know, there is much more pride and moral in this generation that you believe. And not to add to the annoying people who always say this, but can we stop arguing and just listen to the music.

  • I really hate the song once it hits 4:02

  • This song is one of the best underground songs i've ever heard. Unlike mainstream, this shit has so much meaning, and feeling in it. God if only the whole world could hear music like this. Never will you hear shit like this on the radio!

  • Beautiful track

  • i love cunninlyguists~

  • Listen to the song HEATHER from MOVE.MEANT

  • Hip-hop is poetry for men.

  • @TheSongSalad What about for women? XD

  • @ThaGearOfWar Well women can actually write poetry and not get jumped. Just saying. Hip/hop is 'hard' enough that guys can write it too. Men can't say they like poetry but they can say they like hip/hop.

  • @TheSongSalad not true, i guarantee alot of rappers write poetry on the side of writing songs..everybody knows 2pac wrote a poetry book, and Eyedea wrote a few. poetry is pretty dope, makes you think about shit

  • @undergroundh1ph0p yes, but I think a large portion of male culture is homophobic enough that poetry as a form of expression is looked down upon. You have to be fairly secure in yourself to risk that sort of persecution. my point was merely that hip/hop was the method a lot of men use to express themselves as they would with poetry, but without any of the negative stigma that would usually accompany being a poet.

  • @TheSongSalad what about for women too? O_O

  • @TheSongSalad I'm into any kind of poetry, and if anyone tried to 'jump' me, they'd have to be ready to expect me with a steel baseball bat outside their house.

  • @DownbeatViral i know right, all of my friends hate my music but its not crap, its got deeper meaning than most of the mainstream shit they listen to

  • this song makes me cry

  • This song is a breath of fresh air in the polluted world of hip hop nowadays

  • jesus christ!!!!!!!!!! tonedeff absolutely kills it!!!!!

  • This song is beautiful.

I decided to do a remix of it.

Check it out on my channel and let me know whatchu think.

If you don't like it I understand it's hard to come to par with this song.

  • Man how come we can't get stuff like this on the radio?

  • Who's the Mc on the second verse?... Deacon?

  • @mimzi1 yeah

  • fuck religion...it can never give the spirituality that is oh so seeked...when the soul is poured to the rhythm you cant help but have a free feeling of emotions whatever they may be...truely the only thing on mother earth that can help a worn and torn soul patch up and look ahead because life is just a current that you learn to flow with...

  • Anyone know what the song is which they used as a sample?

  • This is true underground hip hop right here.

  • nice!

  • Fuckin' Amazing...Nuff said.

  • Why am I listening to this... This is so good I'm not even the worth.

  • I think its Haze instead of hayes

  • @315Juanrez315 he is talking about being in a haze while listening to Isaac Hayes. That's what makes it so sick. 2 meanings to the word.

  • @undergroundh1ph0p that would be a

    pun

  • Holy fuck tonedeff.

Woah. I'm an MC, and this was like getting kicked in the face.

  • id love to see any mainstream rapper make an album with simple beats or accapello. How many albums would they sell? Around 2. Their lyrics are shit, they make up words, while true rappers do their homework and study the dictionary, and without their beats or autotune, they are nothing. They are dirt. They are Shit.

  • damn Tonedeff is one of the best alive, no doubt. This shit is some of the greatest hip hop still living. It kills me that hip hop is becoming what it is. Fuck Mainstream. Fuck record labels. Fuck Illuminati. Fuck that this great piece of work only has 30 thousand views. Mainstream is shit and it is ruining what hip hop and rap is all about, hip hop isnt about pulling bitches, getting high, and pointless shit like that. Its about soul, lyricism, and expressing yourself.

  • people talk about "why can't mainstream be more like this?" Mainstream sucks cuz it's mainstream. those dudes get big cuz they sign on the dotted line and take the money, cars and women and become full of themselves. Hell, i bet if lil wayne didn't guest star in 150 damn songs in 2009 and actually wrote some meaningful shit it'd be pretty good.... or not. The point is, underground is tight cuz it's pure and unspoiled, i hope this shit stays this way forever.

  • cool

  • slut!!!!!!

  • slut

  • The 4 people that had a seizure and fell on the dislike button couldn't handle this because they don't believe in love!

  • hey the first part of the song, is that actually the song, or is it a diffrent song?

  • and the past isnt felt as a match made in hell

  • this is true fucking poetry. this song is about the emotion of true love, unlike most hiphop that just explains love as sex. there's more to this song. im not being mushy or gay or watever, this realy touches me, and this is what i call music.

  • @EmRocks303 Amen, I totally agree.

  • @EmRocks303 Wich songs describe love as sex?

  • @LrdYarkan4U

Anything that's popular: Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, etc.

  • @EmRocks303 it touches ur pussy?

  • iillll as fuck.true rap right here.

  • So, so so so good.

  • *insert inhuman flow* I LOVE YOU BABY * insert flow tighter than the virgin mary* I LOVE YOU BABY.

  • How can anyone thumb this down???!!! *amaziing.. :' )

  • ahhhh i'm trying to learn tonedeff's verse. XD hard as all hell.

  • And somehow repeating "shots" over and over speaks to people more than this. This strikes directly to my soul, and the way it's put together is amazing.

  • the sample in this song is called traces by the classics IV ... dope beat and lyrics on this track just not feeling the floww they coulda been smoother on such an ill beat .. now dont go getti n all mad on me ppl for having AN OPINION .... IM A MUSICIAN AND REAL HIP HOP HEAD .... always stayin underground ....peace

  • where is the sample from the intro of the song from?

  • hahaa i can sing this <33

  • Man, cunnin have had my attention since 616 rewind and mic like a memory, they're fucking deep with nice groove but its shit you can relate to because its REAL AS ALL HELL.

    But godDAMN, 0:58

"You best just fix whatever's wrong and just move on and get on with it, Cause you''ll catch bigger fish in the sea if you manage not to drown in it,

It's sad, but proud or not, most your standards go down a notch

WHEN LONELINESS DRINKS AT THE BAR YOU SET TOO HIGH."

Fuckin very true shit, right there.

  • i wished they used the sample at the beginning more often, its a great sound.

  • my jaw just dropped at 0:28, heard it just today and cant stop listening to it

  • fuck seriously now a days music is fucking gay like that hip hop shit they should put more of these songs on the radio anyways... nice song :D

  • Damm.. this song.. good old memmories

  • Great song, but you got some of the lyrics wrong (not that it's easy to catch all of Tonedeff's lyrics), listen closer.

  • @ sprnk1 and @ kajied if you liked tonedeff in this song, have you checked out his song "children" from tonedeff's archetype? definately worth checking out. im about to turn 24 and it came out about 2 years ago and it becomes more true the more time passes and the more i listen to it. good stuff

  • Start Training, this game is hard

  • Finaly no freaking " YEEHA" that ruins the song.

  • @RomanNumeralFour

    hahaha,i kno rite

  • I rated two stars by accident! Noooooo. awesome track

  • They should get a big record deal or really put this on the radio its great

  • @deathknightwotlkbeta no they shuldnt it shuld maintain underground

  • such a beautiful song. love the message and passion.

  • "The W.W.K.Y.A. Tour" can easily compare to the caliber of this song. A whole shit load of artist take it to the next level.

  • from which song is the sample in the beginning? " i love youmore than i had loved you baby.. "

  • @MidnightVera "Blood Sweat & Tears - "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" ...wasn't easy to track down :-)

  • I love u Benaaa ;)

  • Tonedeff is not just fast, but his rhymes schemes are out of this world. Plus, he can sing. Real artist.

  • i lost all faith in hip hop till i herd these n jmt

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • this is the epitamy of hip hop and its soul, nothing compares to true music that touches, molds and imprints emotion on an individual, this is real music, this is real hip hop, this is real poetry. this is underground, this is live music even when recorded, this is love, life, reality, this is music, forget this drake, young money crap, who's better drake n weezy or mos n tone def(f) shit dont even be stupid its a trick question!

  • @sprkn1 Hell yea man this is the fuckin shit right here!!! well put!

  • @sprkn1 you spelled epitome wrong

  • @sprkn1 epitome

  • @sprkn1 run-on sentence?

  • Now live your life for the love or stop.

  • your lonelyness is drinking at the bar you set too high.

    goddamn

  • jedi mind tricks, immortal technique the old school way man from 2004 and than back the new hype shit just isnt as good

  • wow, tonedeff's lyrcis gave me goosebumps. as gay as that sounds, these lyrcis are straight up poetry. why can't mainstream hip hop be more like this?

  • @Kaijed if it were mainstream, it would be ruined

  • @Kaijed because the industry hides and censors music that speaks true shit
